I love this quiet little piece of Riverside, so does my cannine companion. Spent many hours down here, not a clean experience but definately a fun one for all, always take a towel because you can't help but go into water. Such a wonderful location.

Want to have a nice short walk, this is the place. Up and down paths amongst the trees and past the river. Very peaceful. Great place to watch the sunset

Good place for kayak/paddle board . Be aware though, the sewerage works are just upstream.Records for 2022 show that the ‘sewer storm overflow’ spilled 112 times for a total of 617 hours discharging into the River Derwent.

Beautiful part of co Durham ebchester has some excellent walks with the Derwent walk close by also historical crossing of the Derwent river Roman road dear street new historical excavation came to light recently.

Used to be a great place to take the kids to use their paddle boards, until someone decided to fence off the grassed area which is the only parking anywhere near. Typical backwards thinking, Let's encourage kids to take up outdoor activities

I started a Lead to Row course there during May half-term... and am now a member and hooked to bring on the water! The coaches are so friendly and helpful. Sculling is not anneasy skill to learn but they are very encouraging and push you enough so that you do it properly. There is a lovely bunch of people down there who all chip in and are so friendly. My daughter goes now too. We love it! The setting is also so beautiful... Actually we don't want to many people finding out about it ha ha!
