Southby Plastering

My experience was horrendous. Leslie talked the talk and his task as agreed was to plaster walls, paint, cove, add skirting downstairs in a lounge and room. He said he'd take two weeks. I realised it may not take two weeks and was okay with some give and take.He began work on 25 January 2016. The work is incomplete 3 months on. I trusted him. He was dishonest at one point and claimed he fractured his ankle at my property. He hadn't. In accordance to check a trade website he carried out work personally first another client. In that time he got some cowboys in to paint upstairs and downstairs. The entire walls in the house were not sanded. So they had lumps and bumps. The cowboys painted roughly leaving patches and painted wall paint over my windowsills in each room and wall paint was used to paint all of the radiators. The incorrect paint colour was used in the kitchen.Leslie cracked my kitchen tile. The cowboys including Leslie ruined my kitchen counter, tiles, cupboards and Hall way floor tiles with paint and plaster and filler. I had to ask him to clean up which he did. But I shouldn't have had to as he should've made sure covers were used. Paint and plaster was over every light and electric switch. Still not all cleaned up.After my upset Leslie sanded down the upstairs room walls and painted two coats of paint on the room walls but has left it incomplete.The coving was incorrect and not rectified. The skirting corners were cut wrong. I had to pay someone else to rectify downstairs.Leslie agreed to finish abd complete upstairs as I paid him a third installment first painting and coving and skirting upstairs and downstairs. He left and hasn't had the decency to to return the last installment. In total I paid him £4380. He abused my trust in him.I'm left without doors he promised to install. No rooms have ever doors. He left doors at my house that are useless and don't fit.I asked him to take the doors back on 31 march 2016 and return my last installment over £1,000. He hasn't responded.I have before and after pictures as evidence.I would never recommended this guy I'm sorry to say.i would however say the ceilings were done to a good standard - smooth as it was artex. Th rest of the work was incomplete and some not even begun.
