Held on the phone for 10 minutes in queue position 1 then they cut me off. When I rang back I was in queue position 6.

The most appalling place i've ever had the misfortune to have to visit! The place may as well be run by robots. The complete waste of council tax payers money ( and yes some of us do pay council tax!) at least 20 computers, one of which was being used. The whole attmosphere is intimidating and unfriendly. I attended to sort out a simple error and sat in the waiting area feeling like a criminal! An awfull experience, one i hopefully wont have to endure again!!

Went to settle a council tax issue and was misinformed about how to do it online. When I followed the link provided by an automated response, I was taken to a site that didn't even have what I needed on it! Once I did finally find out where to go, I was met with frequent forced log outs and a confusing website.Automated systems don't always work people!

Having just purchased a property in Middlesbrough I was keen to advise the council of the correspondence address etc for tax etc. What a kerfuffle. Spent a great deal of time (and money) holding on the phone and as I am now overseas I will not be doing that again. No email address for council tax issues ( does anyone pay council tax and if so what is it used for??? certainly not staff or staff training) Eventually sent email to the press officer ( in the hope.....) and had to resort to sending an old fashioned traditional letter from overseas. How they expect peoiple to pay c tax is a mystery as you need to have a tax bill to access the site. Utter rubbish.
