My cat has had ataxia from birth, which means he falls over a lot, and can't retract some of his claws so he tends to get stuck in things. Recently he became reluctant to jump, started swishing his tail a lot, stopped purring, and didn't like part of his back being touched. It seemed to me he was in pain, and when his regular vet couldn't offer anything I decided to see if acupuncture might help. Carolyn came to the house and examined him, and I distracted him with treats while she put some tiny needles in. These didn't bother him at all, he was more bothered about being up on the table. He did wander about which made his needles fall out so Carolyn put fresh ones in. Despite the needles not staying in for long he did seem a little more active after the treatment. On the subsequent ones Carolyn treated him wherever he was and we mostly managed to keep all the needles in for around 20 minutes. He loved the cat treats during the treatment, and when he'd finished eating them I stroked his face while the needles were in and he seemed extremely relaxed. Carolyn also recommended a heated pad for his bed which he absolutely loves, and a flat scratching pad so he can keep his claws in trim without having to balance on his weak back legs. She showed me how to trim his claws to stop him getting caught up in things. His mobility has improved a lot, he had 4 sessions in total. I highly recommend Carolyn, she was very gentle and sensitive to the cat, the acupuncture didn't bother him at all and he has been more active since the treatment.

Our elderly cat Lewis (16) is on a multi-modal approach for his osteoarthritis: two different pain killers, heat and massage therapy and acupuncture. We have really noticed a massive difference when we added acupuncture to the mix about two months ago: he is more agile and active and licks his joints less. During the session he just snoozes because Carolyn knows exactly how far to take the session: enough needles to get the most benefit and not agitate Lewis. We will continue with a monthly session for as long as possible and recommend all my clients with elderly animals to go for Carolyn’s service too!

My 12 year old Golden Retriever George has arthritis and the onset of Laryngeal Paralysis with the hoarse bark and occasional coughing. We have had 4 sessions with Carolyn and George has been very responsive to the treatment. He looks a much more comfortable dog enjoying his walks and is very pleased when Carolyn visits. A bonus for George is he gets a treat at the end of the session! I would definitely recommend Carolyn if you have a poorly pet.

Carolyn is excellent at what she does. My dog Sebastian really took to her and her nurturing and gentle manners won him over. His progress with the acupuncture has been noticeable and I would definitely recommend for anyone who has a dog with IVDD.

We were looking for someone who did acupuncture on Cats and dogs and we came across Carolyn, we are very glad we did.Not only has my cat responded really well to treatment but he is able to be treated in the comfort of our own home.He got very stressed when he was taken to the vets and this was much less stressful for us and him.Carolyn made him feel very relaxed, she has a very good caring attitude with him, he liked her and has built a trust with her.Our cat was in a lot of pain when we initially called Carolyn, he is suffering with osteoarthritis/ DJD and he is walking with much more comfort now.He has only had a few sessions and already it has made a massive difference.Such a relief to see.Thank You so much, Carolyn.

We tried acupuncture after everything else failed for our two year old limping dog. And it worked. We used to carry our dog in a buggy but after having acupuncture sessions our dog started walking and now she is running just like her old self. I highly recommend London Vet Acupuncture, they are very kind and gentle towards both us and our pets.

I contacted Carolyn to help with our 16-year-old Labrador Newton, who has some polyneuropathy issues and hind leg weakness; he also developed a phantom itch which was starting to cause him some distress. Even after the first session with Carolyn, there was a noticeable, positive difference in his walk and demeanour. After a few more sessions, the phantom itch has gone, he can do a full body shake now (something he hasn't done in a while!), and he is much perkier. His canine massage therapist also cannot believe the change in him; she commented that his muscles are much less hypertonic, and he appears much more comfortable. Carolyn is always very professional, friendly, has a lovely way with Newton, and he enjoys the constant feeding of treats during the session! Carolyn has always made the sessions very positive for Newton and never forces him to have needles in areas where he sometimes shows a reaction. We want to give our old lad the best twilight years, and so far, he is not on a single pharmaceutical. I believe good nutrition and natural therapies like acupuncture will ensure that he continues running in the fields for a little while yet! Thank you, Carolyn, for helping our sweet old guy.

Carolyn is great. My dog needed to start acupuncture right away. Carolyn responded to my email super fast, got in touch with our local vet and managed to schedule my dog's first session in a few days. It was great for her recovery since she was in a lot of pain. I surely recommend!

Carolyn is lovely and the acupuncture had a very positive effect on my cats arthritis/MSK aches and pains. She only has one back leg so gets tight muscles around her sacrum and leg and gets very grumpy if you try to massage it! The needles worked really well and a couple of days after treatment had no palpable tenderness. Carolyn is professional, tidy, punctual and treats your animal with kindness and respect. She really knows her onions and I was comfortable letting her care for my cat. Highly recommended.
