Aaron Court Care Home

I worked there from the start and the place has some good staff but the management team there have never looked after there staff or residents they charge around £800 a week to stay there but the residents only get £3.20 per day for food,drinks and snacks.This i why i left there as i kept pushing for more and worked extra and even used my own money to help out so the residents got what they could

My Nan was recently a resident here. But thanks to the home not monitoring their staff members health she sadly contracted Corona virus and passed away five days later.She started to go down hill rapidly but Aaron court said there was no need to worry. After numerous arguments three days after her covid test came back positive the home reluctantly called the doctor.They then shipped her out to the hospital without her glasses and teeth. During her three days in hospital and leading up to her death nobody from the home attempted to contact us to see how she was.I strongly believe that if you are able to do so then you move your relatives out of this hell hole.CQC has been informed and an investigation is underway.

Be warned - all that glitters is not gold!Despite having a lovely purpose built ‘home’ the ‘care’ given here falls far short. Read the CQC inspection report (November 2018) that lists numerous failings in basic care needs for highly vulnerable residents. Even after having Safeguarding concerns issued against them (where residents were put at such serious risk they were reported by a third party) they have failed to improve their care and now “require improvement” across all areas inspected.Read it for yourself in the report.

Lovely place, caring staff...It's not just a job for them, they actually do care. Took care of my Nan from beginning to end. I'm so grateful for Aaron Court.

My Mum was a resident here. Initially the home seemed great - well specified, friendly staff and clean too. Unfortunately they failed to follow up or even maintain simple records. This ended up causing my Mum a huge amount of unnecessary pain and distress so I cannot recommend. Hopefully they can improve their care but their current Care Quality Commission rating is 'Requires improvement'.

It was great, nice staff and the environment are clean

My father came here for his end of life care (we didn't know at this point he didn't have long left otherwise we would have moved him). The staff were great after a shaky start although he was not looked after that well he was confined to his bed, he wasn't changed enough, his bell was often on the floor and he couldn't access any lights, or water as he was too weak to pick up a glass. Therefore scared as he wouldnt know where he was.This was sorted after i made a complaint then they couldn't do enough for him. But it wasn't an ideal place for someone at end of life, it was so noisy with other patients shouting all hours and my dad was very distressed by this and the staff couldn't do anything to quiten them so instead of having a peaceful ending he was subject to this horrendous noise constantly as there was a door to the other room so no way of blocking out the noise. (I do understand they were patients with mental health issues) but it was so distressing for my dad at one point he asked me to tell them to be quiet but i couldn't and I felt I let him down by not having a peaceful end of life. And when I complained about it I was told he was lucky to have a bed as several people were waiting for the room. The nurses were amazing towards my dad and my family towards the end and the care they gave my dad towards the end was amazing and compassionate they are a credit to their proffession. They allowed us to stay with him and sleep overnight for the last few nights of his life, and the cleaning lady was very respectful it was just such a shame he couldn't pass in peace.

I worked at Aaron court care home for 1 month and had to leave as the way the elderly people were being treated and they do not get the care you pay for, its a dreadful place to work and a dreadful place to send any family members to be taken care of, 0 stars for you Aaron court. only have you a star because i had to, to post the review, DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE.

I worked there for short time, staff very clicky, don't always speak to other staff, no interaction with residents, would not recommend, residents do what they want, nothing gets done or said

I worked here 3years ago it was ok at the beginning but then it started to get out of hand like the staff was getting treated different favoritism was the big issue with staff managers having favoritism and letting the get away with it I was pregnant and put with resident who was risk to me and they didnt Care made me do shifts that was risk to me and residents was ot getting treated in good manners so I had enough and decided to leave please DO NOT WORK HERE OR PUT A RELATIVE HERE
