Whiteleys Dry Cleaners

If I could give this place a 0/5 I would. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED TO CLEAN TO CLEAN YOUR DRESSES. They are only good if you need to clean men's shirts. They send dresses out to random locations and have zero organisations. They held onto my dress for two weeks, only to locate a dress that was badly stained and not mine in a dirty shopping bag no cleaned. They have damaged my clothing and never return items in the time period they say they will. Do not trust them if you like your clothes. I am really appalled at the blatant disregard for customer service. They also scammed me out of a proper refund and compensation I was entititled to. All I can say is good luck if you drop your stuff off here.

I was a bit hesitant after reading a few google reviews but I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. It’s on the pricier side and their communication for pick up could be better but I’ve been happy with both trouser alterations and dry cleaning.

I took 2 dresses in for the hems to be taken up, both dresses were straight, i.e. no flared hem, no vents, a straight hem all their way round. The cost was over £40 and they offered Friday for collection (from Monday). When i came to collect they were dumped on the desk in front of me, they hadn’t been pressed, they weren’t in a plastic covering and they didn’t have a plastic bag for me to put them in (it was raining). When I asked about the pressing I was told that as I wanted them on Friday they didn’t have time to press them, but I hadn’t asked for Friday and could have picked them up next week ! There was no apology, it was as if I was a nuisance. I would not recommend this dry cleaners and if I could I would not give even star.

I highly recommend this company. They are so helpful and reliable and always give great suggestions for alterations. I particularly love using their free delivery service too as it’s very useful for me. Thank you Whiteley’s for your service!

Do not use this dry cleaners. I took trousers in to be adjusted, they gave them back to me without having actually done the adjustment. When I went back in to tell them and ask them to carry out the service I had paid for, they refused, on the basis they couldn't prove it was the same pair of trousers I had previously brought in. They were rude, unhelpful, and will happily take your money without providing the service you pay for.

Because I can't giving 0 stars I am giving a one. Not only did they lose my sweater and try to blame it on me, but I've come back 10/12 times over the last 3 months for the refund they promised me for the price of the sweater and the price of the cleaning and have not given me either. They are completely wasting my time and they owe me a large sum of money. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use this company for your services. They are rude, unfriendly, and are likely to lose your clothes.

The worst experience. Two great coats damaged. On one - a big designer sign completely disappeared (never happened with another dry cleaner)!!! The second one wasn’t fully cleaned and was significantly and visibly creased by a very bad ironing!!! I was explicitly denied a refund and given zero apology. I was offered another cleaning but I am 100% afraid of that and wouldn’t do it if they paid me.

I've had great experience using Whiteley's Dry Cleaners - I gave them a range of different clothes for dry cleaning - a woollen coat, some Indian silk saris and a few other pieces of cotton clothing. I am always skeptical giving my traditional silk saris to a dry cleaner as they often come back damaged, however Whiteley's were above and beyond in their cleaning and care. All items came back spotless! I couldn't be happier - I will definitely be using them again!

HORRIBLE experience. Not only were they a week late on the promised delivery (I needed alterations done in time for an event) but they were incredibly rude to me and refused to give me an accurate date that I could come get my garments. Then when they were finally ready, they HADNT DONE THE ALTERATIONS. They did HALF of a pair of trousers meaning that one leg is now shorter than the other. And they had the audacity to be the ones to be angry at ME.Worst dry cleaners I have ever been to and if you care about your clothes or have a time sensitive event stay far away from here

I’d give them less than one star if I could. Hemmed a pair of linen trousers for an eye watering £18 for a simple hemming. They then wouldn’t repair them after the hem came down after one wear and blamed the manufacturer. If it’s the manufactures fault they should never have hemmed them.Terrible customer service. I would not use again. Exorbitant prices for not even an on standard of work
