2nd time we have eaten here since the carvery was replaced with Menus, .not impressed, shame really, the pub is great but would be better if the carvery was bought back..On our first visit I had the Surf & Turf, sent the food back twice as the beef was too tough, my wife had the Fish, it was greasy and quite a small portion, on our second visit we both had the Chicken and Chips from the Grill, it was just not an appetising meal the chip were cold and chicken quite dry. Will not be returning till The Carvery is reintroduced. On a plus note the staff were friendly and helpful and the beer very good.

We had a very nice Sunday lunch today. The food was well cooked, well presented and served hot. Staff were friendly and attentive. Considering it was very busy, our meals were served quite quickly. The only minus is that my glass wasn’t very clean but when I mentioned it they replaced both the drink and the glass. We will be back.

Visited here for the first time since its refurbishment from when it was a carvery. The decor inside is modern whilst holding that vintage feel. The location has dining huts on the exterior also. The customer service from the team was excellent with quick friendly service throughout. It is noted that there was bar service only and no table service. The drinks in regards to cocktails could have tasted better as one of the ones we ordered was a funny colour and tasted a bit off. Overall I would visit again however.

Absolutely shocking frozen smaller than average roast potatoes hard pigs in blankets no taste cauliflower cheese was just a very small dish with a spoonful of cauliflower with grated cheese on top and that was a separate side order very disappointing as last time we went it was fantastic proper home cooked roasts and Yorkshire puds this was all just frozen produce no taste a spoonful of gravy on top and we were told it was a 40 minute wait for food even though table was booked we waited hour and 20 minutes for a very disappointing Sunday lunch 1 person behind the bar taking food and drinks ordered and that was the manager.I did give my feed back as I left but he didn't appear that bothered by it at all waitresses working very hard place was clean food not at all to any standard

Staff and atmosphere great, unfortunately roast dinner was cold, vegetables barely cooked. They reheated for me but not much difference, disappointing. Don't like to complain as staff lovely, but not a good meal and it was for a friend's Birthday.

Held a family get together here for 30 people with pre-booked food. Can't fault it. Food was very good and catered for all tastes with a buffet service. We used an area of the lounge slightly away from the bar. Service was very friendly. Highly recommend

I attended the pub a few evenings ago for a last minuite meet up .Beautifuly presented establishment and can not fault the lady who served me. I walked I. With my husband and 11 year old, very shy son and within seconds of entering she had the previously silent , shy lad chatting about all sorts . Good ale, good food, good environment
