Great place to train. Rafael is a great coach, for someone with such a high level and who still competes breaks every instruction down to the simplest form. Love this place and everyone is so cool no egos and no attitudes. Great place to learn.

I've only got positive things to say about this club and the people in it. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. It's clear that Rafael and his team love what they do.One year ago, my little one didn't want to do any sport. But now, he goes 6x per week because he wants to. The atmosphere is very positive and he has gained a lot from his experience at Roger Gracie WGC so far.I highly recommend this club.OSS!

Raf is a fantastic instructor and person, his students are all respectful, friendly and helpful and the club as a whole has a great culture. Would recommend to anyone !

Highly recommend this club! Rafael is a fantastic coach, he’s extremely skilled and very welcoming. He makes time for everyone both inside and outside of training and is genuinely passionate about seeing people get better. The facility is clean and well maintained. It has a positive environment and everyone pushes each other to work harder. If you want to improve your mental toughness as well as keep fit while learning to defend yourself then sign up! You won’t regret it.

The best bbj academy in Hertfordshire, the coaches are super experienced, the atmosphere is nice and friendly. Always feels like family when I'm there. Awesome environment for kids from any age.

After seeing how much fun my 4 yr old was having in the kids classes, I recently joined up for the adult sessions myself and so glad I did.There's a really friendly and supportive atmosphere here from everyone at the club. The level of instruction is second to none also. Rafael really takes the time to make sure everyone understands the details of the techniques and keen to give extra help when needed.If you're thinking about trying a class (1st one is free) just do it, one of the best decision I've made!

A Top-Notch Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club!I have been attending since February 2023, 2-3 times a week (around 3 months) and am already very impressed.This Roger Gracie Academy BJJ club in Welwyn Garden City, led by Rafael Da Silva Barro, is an excellent place to learn and practice BJJ. Rafael is a great coach who's respected by his students because of his skills and teaching style.The morning classes are run by Jody, who's also an impressive coach. He's particularly good at explaining complex techniques, making them easy to understand for everyone.For me it's been a great place to learn, with great coaches and a supportive environment. My PoV is iIt's good for all ages, whether you're just starting out or have been practicing for years.

I joined 6 weeks ago and I can hands down say, this isn't just a standard academy, this is a community. If you have been thinking about trying BJJ then you will not find better coaches or people to train with. Everyone is there to support you, and within a short period of time you will learn techniques and be able to apply them. It is also so much fun. 10/10
