Hale Cemetery

I know it’s a bit odd doing a review on a cemetery, not a place you really want to visit, but here goes. A lovely well maintained cemetery, with a quaint little chapel. Just don’t understand why the cherry trees have been hacked at, that’s the only way I can describe it, they certainly haven’t been pruned by an experienced tree surgeon. Such a shame as they usually put on a beautiful display in spring time.

Went 18 months ago and the cemetery is not maintained. Apparently a contractor is supposed to maintain it. Takes the money and does nothing. Heartbreaking. My family are all buried there from early 1900. I visit when I can, but was so upset when I saw the state of it. The Council need to take control of it again.
