Food was good, service was great, just a bit run down inside, menus on the table were dirty and stuck together, had to wipe them before we could order food

Not a bad wee place for locals but not only!Very reasonable prices, nice and friendly staff, live sports, full functioning pub and a little restaurant in the back. Be good in the summer to sit in the beer garden and enjoy the trees with my dogs. Will be back :)

We went for Christmas dinner. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although, only one boy behind the bar had a facemask on. The other 5/6 staff did not. They also did not have a uniform nor anything that resembled staff so we did not know who to ask for help. Although, they were very knowledgeable once we did. For me my salmon was very tough and chewy, for my brother his steak was too. The turkey was nice and moist. Food was very well presented. Very okay" food alltogether. Very "okay" value for money too. As a pub I would recommend. For food it maybe needs a bit more work. And staff needs to be more cohesive and adhere to current covid rules. I would recommend if you aren't worried about the current pandemic situation."

Food was delicious - we ordered the sizzling fajitas and chicken and both were delicious - food was hot and portion size was just right. Good variety of drinks and usual bar prices. Staff were lovely, there were only 2 staff covering both bars but they did so with little waiting time and engaged with everyone. It’s been years since I have visited this wee place and forgot how much l liked it, will definitely be back

We returned after a previous visit that had been resolved and this visit was perfect. The service was excellent and the management and staff we so welcoming and freindly. Service at the bar was swift and accourate and the food was piping hot, cooked well and presented beautifully. A big thanks to William and the team on this visit. Special mention to Tracy who was great as was the elder gentleman who served the food - and to the lady manager who took care of us all day and arranged our next booking for 03 Jan 24 for my birthday which the whole family is now looking forward too. Thank you Gables!
