Adore this boutique/gift shop. Been visiting here for years and always leave with a natural wax candle. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Good selection of unique pieces for gifts or treat yourself. Love the bags with the ribbon, so pretty.Thank you.

Ordered the Outremer Vanille eau de toilette from this boutique through the Trouva website and I'm in love with it! Felt like I had to leave a review for the Lavender room because I was so impressed with how quickly it was dispatched and it arrived in just a few days. I really appreciate the detail and care they put into the packaging too -- my item was carefully wrapped and tied with ribbon and they even wrote me a personalised note! Would 100% recommend this store and will definitely be purchasing from here again :)

Every time I walk past Lavender Room, I always have to go and have a look at all their wonderful things. They have such great gift ideas here, and I always find myself buying a pair of glittery socks for myself. Definitely recommend coming here if you need to buy a present for someone special!

I bought your 'Relaxing' candles last week - one for myself and the other one for my friend for his birthday. I lit my candle yesterday and was very disappointed when it was lit for a few hours but I could not smell anything. Literally nothing, not scent. They smelled really nice when I smelled them in your shop, so I thought as soon as I light them, it will release a really nice smell. They're quite expensive as well, so I thought I'm buying a good product of a really high quality. So disappointed, will not buy any candles any more.

So disappointing... can never shop here again.. I bought a lovely dress and camisole on Wednesday and returned to buy similar on Saturday. I have to say staff pretty indifferent on both occasions and not much idea about stock.. However I loved the clothes. I realised the colour of the second camisole I bought was almost idenical to the first so tried to return for refund actually wearing one of said dressed, 2 days after purchase...still in unopened bag in tissue paper etc. Was told by same person who served me - loudly, with great relish and in front of other customers- that i couldn't have money back and i should've asked what the returns policy is at the till... and that it is printed on the receipt...!! As they don't do refunds- it would be too late to see it printed on the receipt , as I would already have purchased and they don't give refunds!!! I was directed , with an excited flourish- to a tiny notice above the till, which is hidden out of sight I was spoken to in a rude, supercilious manner by someone seeking to humiliate a hitherto loyal customer, at the end of what I assume was a long, unenjoyable day. I will not visit this shop again, which is a shame as I think it is a beautiful shop with well - chosen stock. However, I think not refunding goods still in packaging and clearly unworn , 2 days after purchase is an extremely cynical move and one which brings the high street retailer closer to extinction.. as previously loyal customers will shop elsewhere ( most likely online) and write bad reviews like this one. Lavender Room you need to look after your customers if you wish to retain them during a cost of living crisis and with the high street under threat. Being so blase about my custom today means every end of term teachers' present and several items of clothing a month that i will no longer be purchasing from you.Loyalty and courtesy go a long way towards creating good will and repeat custom . An absence of both today means you have lost mine for good.

Edit: I've increased my review to 5 stars due to the prompt response and customer service I've received from the store. I've purchased both direct in-person at the Brighton store and via Trouva, and although the reed diffusers weren't for me, the customer service has been excellent. Thanks!---Friendly staff and cute shop. However, I bought three of the reed diffusers (rose and patchouli, rhubarb and ginger, wild fig and grape) and still after 4 weeks, I can barely smell them, even in our tiny bathroom. I did email the store to ask for some advice but have heard nothing back. I've also replaced the reeds themselves but still no luck.

Modern French style chic but not to shabby ! Beautifully laid out gifts and lady's clothing, add it to your Brighton to do list
