Windsor Library

Fantastic place, friendly staff but also useful and usable machines available to check books in and out. Good online stuff too, for reserving or extending loans.

Latest changes they made upstairs, with separate computer and newspaper room, are a big improvement (for everybody else!). Wish they were open longer on sundays, but otherwise great. Lovely staff too.

Nice library with good range on books, only the staff seem to forget to keep their voices low in the study room especially when discussing Christmas plans.

I prefer to work in the library and focus in silence. But my work was constantly interrupted as staff and book seekers spoke out loud many times. It's unlike any library I've ever been to. Please prefer to speak in lowercase letters. Thank you

I have only recently gotten back into the habit of using a library after always at school and uni. Windsor is better than most. Has great staff who seem to go out of their way to encourage library use. Children aren't silenced but hushed tones are encouraged. The range of books is diverse and there is free WiFi. Also online services are great. But nothing beats that quiet space for me. The ability to peruse the shelves for myself is without doubt a personal joy. It also keeps my bookshelves breaking from repeated hauls being squeezed in.
