As I was in the area, I decided to pop if for a drink and food. Nice pub, family friendly, has a sift play area for younger kids, plenty of parking. Staff welcoming and not much of a wait for the food.

Came here with friends for something to eat, I had a carvery,they had steaks.Only one meat was available on carvery but the veg was nice enough.Cheryl was a lovely host and as welcoming.

Waited all week in anticipation for what they claimed was a 'mouth watering carvery' to be very disappointed. Cooked tasteless frozen potatoes, overcooked sprouts and carrots, tough beef, with no fresh veg on offer at all. Won't be returning and cannot recommend

Well it says the best Carvery in Essex.It's not by far and the service was non existent.Maybe we went on one of those bad days but we wouldn't return again.

Can honestly say its one of the best carverys I've had in a long time. No skrimping on the meats and you can have all of them if you want them. Will definitely be going back.

We went here last Sunday. As always food was hot well cooked. Staff welcoming and helpful. Facility's clean no sticky tables. Would highly recommend little gem of a food pub.
