Took a sample of my mum & dads remembrance seat and asked if they could copy it in hardwood. They made 6 out of sappele hardwood and the retaining wedges. Superb job. The yard lads even told me what preserver to use (Barrentine Premier Solvent) the clear preserver fetched the colour of the wood out beautifully. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff. OSB cut to size while I waited. The guy even came off his break to do it. The staff volunteered to load my car with the timber to save me struggling, and all done with a smile.This is the second time we have used North Rode Timber within the last month and both experiences have been very good.

Ordered some bespoke trim. Was promised a delivery date which was a couple of days earlier than required. contacted on day required and told it wasn't done. That is fine as these things happen. However, the attitude I experienced from management was unacceptable in my opinion. I think they need to understand that they need their customers, their customers don't need them!

Didnt believe the negative customer comments I saw on reviews so I tried for myself. I do now! I wont go back there purely because of the attitude of the biggish lady behind the counter.My impression now is of good facilities but ruined by suit yourself attitude of the big lady behind the counterPity!"

Used for many years - have supplied me all sorts from off the shelf timber, to pattern matched moldings and small workshop projects. I've always had an excellent service. No need to go elsewhere.

What a nightmare! We went here for some wood to make shelves with. The girl behind the desk was as much use as a chocolate teapot! We gave her the measurements - even showed her them on a piece of paper. She proceded to talk at 10000 times a second confusing both myself and my wife. She gave us the price - OK fine, HOWEVER then she tried to palm off some cheaper inferior wood product on us that we did not want! She was very patronising and talked down to us like we were idiots. This kid is NOT good at her job - she has ZERO customer service skillls. The best of it was, the exact thing we wanted was propped up behind her!!!! We left and went to Wickes instead where we got exactly what we wanted. Naff at best. I say to this bit of a kid, please take your earphones out of your ears and do your job properly, or find something you are actually good at because this is not it. If they had zero stars for review they would of got it! Do not recommend. P.S. The yard is a mess. The wood is sored under tarp in shed type brick buildings and you cannot view it properly before purchase. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Highly recommended!..North Rode Timber were by far the best people to deal with when I wanted to replace the Iroko decking on our boat. The timber they cut and prepared represented excellent value for money and is of awesome quality

Very poor customer service these days. Used to be a good old school yard. Passed from one to the other until I eventually got in my van and left.I swore never to use these clowns again. The irony is this was great but it's been brought by the wrong people and is now not worth visiting. Real shame.

Very helpful staff, lots of wood types and sizes available would recommend. Representative price I got two boards 6*1 8foot of as sawn oak and 5*1" 5foot of as sawn sapele for £55."

Very disappointed with the fact they wouldn't cut some wood I wanted re-sawn. I've had wood cut there before without any problems in the past. Now they won't cut wood that you haven't bought from them and they were not very nice about it. Nasty would be the word I would use.
