Have had regular upper back massages off Tracy and she is fantastic! The only person who can actually get those knots out from my back!The room was warm and ambient, all the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Booked a treatment here for an hour pregnancy massage as I have been experiencing lower back pain. I called the shop prior to my appointment to let them know I had some issues with my car at the garage and would be 15 minutes late. They said they would take the time off my appointment to which I agreed as it was not their fault and still 40 mins is fine. I arrived and was told I could only have a back massage and would be sitting on a saddle stool leant over with my head on the bed.After undressing and explaining that I could not lean forward I suggested that I lie on the bed on my side which is the usual position for pregnancy massage. The therapist did not seem comfortable with doing a massage this way and although she did kindly give me a pillow for my head, there wasnt one available for my my baby bump and a solid wedge was the only thing available to support between my legs. I felt quite uncomfortable as I was half undressed and am quite heavily pregnant. The therapist explained that she wouldnt be able to get to my back in this position. At this point I decided I really wanted to get up and get dressed and so I suggested we re-schedule. She agreed and then before I had barely had a chance to finish dressing the owner arrived in the room and said I will be charged the full amount due to the 24hr cancellation policy. I explained that I understand the policy and would have had the treatment however I felt very uncomfortable so I would prefer to re-schedule for another time if not cancel. The owner stood by the door of the room and tried to persuade me to get back onto the bed for the remaining 20 minutes of treatment but I just really wanted to leave. I felt very humiliated at this point and she suggested being heavily pregnant contributed to my very arkward experience. Eventually the owner agreed to let me leave as i continued to try to explain that I wasnt comfortable here and she said she would not charge me. I left and froze my card as I noticed she had tried to take the money out of my account minutes later despite saying she wouldn't. I spoke with Treatwell who spoke with the business and reassured me that no further attempts will be made to take payment and apologised on their behalf however the owner has been very unapologetic and patronising

I've been going to Tracey and the team for sports massages for many years and have always had a really enjoyable experience. A wide variety of treatments are available by very skilled therapists who are always ready to give expert advice. Such a lovely range of products and gifts in the fantastic shop

Had the best back massage off Tracy at this lovely gem of a place. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with back issues.

Had an amazing back, neck and shoulder massage at Alternatively Better last week, had done something to my neck which was sore and stiff, felt really good after the massage and now my neck is back to normal.It's a charming shop, and they sell lots of lovely products and crystals. Very pleased. Glad I found this place, love it so much I've booked in for another treatment. I would highly recommend Alternatively Better.

Absolutely disgrace of a place. The worst customer service we’ve ever experienced. My 32 weeks pregnant partner went here today for a pregnancy massage and left feeling embarrassed, disrespected and humiliated. Pregnant women SHOULD NOT attend this place for a massage, under any circumstances.The manager/owner Tracey is patronising, rude and completely out of touch.She even suggested her experience could have been due to her being too sensitive and “pregnancy hormones.”If we could rate minus stars, I would.Following this review I received a response below which accused me of intimidating a young staff member and being “aggressive.”This is completely and categorically untrue and shows the lengths this business is prepared to go to to hide their shameful practice and attempt to gaslight a vulnerable customer.A more accurate account of the discussion with the receptionist would be that; I asked to speak with the manager, then calmly sat down and waited untill I was told the manager was unavailable. I then requested an email contact and noted it down as the receptionist was dealing with another customer. Not once did I raise my voice or attempt to intimidate the receptionist. There were also a number of customers waiting for treatments that can confirm this. It was only when I started to take photographs outside that the manager finally came out to talk with me.It’s extremely disappointing that you have chosen to refute my partners horrific experience this afternoon rather than apologising for leaving a pregnant woman in tears following her experience at your establishment.

Had a pregnancy massage today with Jackie. Really lovely little place. The massage was amazing and I left feeling really relaxed with all my aches relieved. Thank you so much.

Beautiful little hidden treasure, staff were so professional and my acupuncture was amazing. Such a lovely relaxing experience from beginning to end and will definitely be going back, highly recommend.
