Simh the best in liverpool. A superb 30 cover atmospheric restaurant and wine bar. Great atmosphere and service, fantastic seasonal dishes and a gem of a wine list, with most served by the glass. Go whilst you can still get a table.

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The staff were so friendly, helpful and explained the menu, including the drinks. The food was off the scale, the hen of the woods and the loin of venison were to die for. Everything was just great, a wonderful experience and I have to say some of the best food I've ever tasted. Can't wait to go back.

Set lunch menu ....delightful.One gripe ....the non alcoholic selection wasn't on drinks menu and the drink I bought was £7 very expensive for a cordial.Not withstanding this very enjoyable and staff lovely.

We decided on chefs choice menu and wine flight and couldn’t have enjoyed a better selection. Oysters to start, hen of the wood mushroom then my absolute favourite, venison loin. A lovely slice of Wensleydale cheese with bara brith and finished with a meringue and blackberry compote. The service was faultless, each course and wine were fully explained, great wine knowledge too. We loved our first visit and will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurant experiences of my life. Service was impeccable, food was incredible, wine pairings were excellent and the music was superb. I can’t recommend this place more highly. I’m already planning my next trip.

Went with the chefs choice and recommend anyone to do the same. Gorgeous mushroom starter and a beautiful guinea fowl main.
