A very nice, well run independent cafe. Lovely coffee and scones this morning on my first visit. This fabulous cafe is firmly on my places to return to on my trips into town.A well designed cafe, great coffee and food and friendly staff.

Gorgeous coffee lounge and wine bar! Great drinks/food menu and the coffee is so good. Cakes and scone also sampled - delicious! Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere - highly recommend!

What a wonderful place! Gorgeous interior, lovely cakes and coffee. Transforms into a very cool bar. One of, if not The coolest place in Newark. Try it and it’ll become your hang out place. Just lovely!

Oh my goodness! This place is amazing! The cakes are fresh every day and taste absolutely divine! My partner had a latte and I had a mocha and the milk was steamed perfectly, the staff have definitely had training to craft the most beautiful drinks. The staff were so inviting and had the biggest smiles on their faces and couldn’t have done enough for us. This will definitely be turning into a firm favourite coffee shop and we will be back! The interior is also beautiful as well and you can tell that a lot of hard work and effort has been put in to make this place so beautiful. I wish the owners the best of luck with their new venture.

Enjoyed a cup of coffee and pastry for breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere at Not my Monkey. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clearly popular with dog owners as well behaved dogs were allowed indoors.

Fabulous little coffee shop. Great atmosphere. Cakes delicious and so fresh. Outside seating with awning. Patio heaters available. If you are in Newark do give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Can't comment on food as never got as far as ordering any. Went for a coffee with friends and all doors wide open and it was very chilly....asked if we could have them closed and bar staff said no because the manager likes them open but you are welcome to use a blanket! We didn't want to use blankets, we wanted to sit in the warm and enjoy a coffee. Probably on reflection not the place for us and luckily we ended up at Strays and were toasty warm
