The staff are always helpful and accommodating. The dentistry is excellent and performed in a professional and empathetic manner. Clear explanations are given of any procedure. I would highly recommend this practice.

Terrible. I got an email asking me to review this dentist. My last visit (before I found the dentist I have now) was 5 years ago so I was surprised to be asked for a review. My experiences were not good here. Very long waiting times in the waiting room. Never seen on time. I went to have an ordinary checkup and to look at a tooth that was giving me trouble and he x-rayed it, says come back in 2 weeks. Went back, he says remind me why we're here? I tell him. He says okay let's get another x-ray. We'll have to get you back in 2 weeks to have a look at that. I come back, he says let get a fresh x-ray. ANOTHER one! Okay, maybe they need another one. Can't read the x-ray now, you'll have to come back when we can schedule a longer appointment. Come back 4th time and he wants me to tell him why I'm there...again. I've taken time off work 4 times at this point, paid for 4 appointments, and the issue hasn't even been addressed yet. He then refers me to the Cootehill office. The wait there was even longer! I go in and this one also has no idea why I've been sent to him. He has no notes from the Monaghan office and guess what he wants to do? Take another x-ray. Finally found a great dentist, Joe Bonner in Donegal, who had me sorted out in one visit. I travel from Monaghan to Donegal twice a year for dental visits. He's very expensive too but worth every penny. I don't mind spending a lot of money on dental treatment if the dental practice is good. Unfortunately this one is not.

The female dentist butchered my tooth. Went for check up and was told i had a tiny hole and she would fill it before it gave me bother. Had awful pain after so went back she put a temporary filling in for 2 weeks so sooth the nerves she said. Was even worse so then back again for another filling. Told me if not sorted i'd need a root canal. How does one go from a tiny hole to a root canal. Im in so much pain but not a hope will i let her near my teeth again.. absolutely imcompetent. Stay away.

So difficult to make an orthodontic appointment. Emailed number of times . Called the clinic to make it clear and still… They are requiring other dentists letter to confirm that this clinic can go ahead with the braces? What???X-ray was also provided .And still no effort was done towards to make an appointment.I was hoping that before any job is done, pre assessment will be completed anyway? But no ..So strange in my opinion.I got to another clinic and they were very nice and polite. They did everything to have me there without any letters and stuff.

Very professional best tidy and efficient. Made feel welcome. No pressure in making a decision. All options discussed with an expert team. Thank you

Was staying at a local hotel and needed an emergency appointment for a very painful youth abscess. Was seen promptly and efficiently and dealt with very effectively. Saved our holiday! Would very highly recommend

I have been a client of Colm Smith dentist for 20 years and family longer, the Monaghan enterprise is shocking from receptionists to the dentists, rude to incompetent, I will be changing dentist as I've neglected my teeth rather then go to them.

This is an excellent dental practice. The service is second to none & the staff are friendly, helpful & provide all the information you need to decide what treatment you want.
