I bought a voucher for the workshop with Jane for my boyfriend’s birthday. When we arrived Jane offered us a Panad (cup of tea), which was a lovely touch, we then made our way to the studio where we had our printing workshop. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it was really fun to try printing on different materials and we took away 3 prints of fish with us at the end and are going to get some of them framed!Thank you for a lovely day, we would definitely recommend giving it a go!

Fabulous time, thanks to Jane, a very patient and good teacher! Fascinating intro to the history of Gyotaku fish printing and then current techniques from around the world.Then onto the practical and we were delighted by the results as complete amateurs. One print of Bob the sea bass on Japanese paper and then one on linen.We were only booked in for 90 minutes but ended up there for another hour, not rushed, just made to feel welcome.Highly recommended.

Jane's pieces are beautiful and draw on ancient jspanese methods. She worked with me to create a piece I could put in my bathroom on a wall crying out for cour and interest. As it's a space with lots of condensation, she mounted her work on canvas and waterproofed it. We love it! Perfect!

Had a fabulous few hours with Jane who described and explained the history and process of Gyotaku with passion and enthusiasm, before demonstrating on the very handsome sea bass line caught locally in the Menai Straits. Then we got inky fingers experimenting ourselves, which was just fantastic. We were able to do 2 impressions each on both fabric and traditional paper, and were thrilled with our results! Can't recommend highly enough, and the setting was just perfect in the gorgeous studio with stunning views. Try it, you won't be disappointed!
