Elements First Aid Training - Brighton

Flora’s course is a really good mix of practical and scenario based teaching. Floras experience as a paramedic means her teaching style is very down to earth, explaining why administering basic good quality first aid is so important for those initial stages.The group size was around 12 people with lots of practical working in pairs.Flora’s teaching is really clear and thorough and always engaging. There’s a lot to get through on the course, it’s well paced and balanced.I’ve done a few different first aid courses, and I would say this is by far the most engaging.

Had an amazing two day outdoor first aid course with Elements. Flora was an incredible teacher. Her paramedic experience made it so interesting and it was so obvious to see how much passion she has for the subject. She also made it really relatable for everyones individual backgrounds on the course. Best first aid course I've ever done!

Elements First Aid Training in Brighton was one of the best I have ever attended. Despite the serious nature of the subject it was a really fun and relaxed day, with our trainer Tom getting a great balance of teaching and sharing of our experiences around the group to enhance and support our learning.We all have different learning styles and I felt this was also appreciated and really well managed.I would absolutely choose again and recommend Elements First Aid Training! The 2-Day Outdoor First Aid Training was incredibly comprehensive, well run, and I've come away having retained the knowledge and with more confidence to act in a dire situation. Flora was an incredible tutor, clearly showing her experience in the field administering emergency care, she ran the course with skill, keeping it interesting and engaging despite the sheer amount of content we went through. As a healthcare professional and as an event first aider, I’ve been on A LOT of first aid courses. I’ve also trained, assessed and supervised others in delivering first aid. So when it came to my mandatory 3 year update, I can’t say I was that excited.I wasn’t expecting this to be the BEST first aid course I’d been on! Flora delivered everything clearly, accurately and with great attention to detail as well as helping participants to sieve out the less important stuff. She was professional, up to date, and was able to draw on her current experience working in the ambulance service to give her credibility and real life examples. I really felt I could trust her experience and her views, her processes, and the quality of her information- whereas at other first aid courses I’ve sometimes felt they might have been delivered by (sometimes slightly bored or patronising) “trainers” but not people like Flora who live and breathe this work as a vocation.Her teaching was well paced, and I was delighted to know that I could learn from her. I enjoyed hearing both new facts and techniques, as well the “same information” in a new way.I highly recommend Elements First Aid courses for anyone looking for a course - you’ll come away confident and encouraged.

I recently did my Sports First Aid with Flora and it was brilliant. Flora goes above and beyond to deliver a course that is interesting and relevant. I will definitely be choosing Elements First Aid for all my future first aid top ups!

Flora was a fantastic trainer who engaged the whole group. There were lots of great resources so we could gain fantastic practical experience. I have done lots of first aid courses over the years, this was the best one yet!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! As an Outdoor Instructor I've been on quite a few first aid courses and was very impressed. Flora's background knowledge from her career in the ambulance service and her own time spent in the great outdoors meant she was able to provide great insights into the practicalities and realities of delivering first aid in outdoor environments (and answer the endless stream of questions!). Everything we spoke about was related back to environments that each person on the course operated in and there were lots of opportunities to get hands on and practice skills. The handouts and ITC handbook also appear to be much more useful tools (with lots of common scenarios) for refreshing my knowledge as time passes, rather than the bulky first aid manuals I've been issued on courses before.
