**Residential Stay**We sent Bronski our 9 month old rescue collie cross to Tim for a week mainly to focus on his lead walking and recall and honestly the improvement we have seen since getting Bronski back is incredible.We really appreciated the daily videos that Tim was sending over to show what progress was being made and they have been really helpful to go back and watch!Not only have we seen improvements whilst being out on walks he also much more responsive in side the house.Tim has done wonders with Bronski in such a short time and it’s our job now to keep up the amazing work Tim put in!Thanks for all your help Tim!

We met Tim last week for a 1-2-1 session for our Cockerpoo she immediately warmed to him, which is a rarity in itself.His wealth of experience and expertise showed us what we should be able to achieve.We would highly recommend Tim.

We had never left Casper in kennels before so were a little nervous. Tim reassured us by posting videos daily and additionally explained training techniques illustrated in the videos. When we collected Casper, Tim took the time to explain clearly how to deal with reactivity to other dogs when walking him. Having spent time with Casper he knew him well. We are using the techniques and they are working very effectively. I would highly recommend Tim to help if you have a reactive German Shepherd.

We have a 1.5year old German Shepherd who is nervous around new people amongst other things. We were researching and spending time to find the right trainer, you hear all the horror stories of trainers causing more harm than good, so it took us a while but we found Tim!The reviews were good and we were able to get a 1-2-1 session in the next day (luckily there was a cancellation). He was great, you could see he cared about the dog but also showed us owners where we were going wrong. We've been using his advice everyday and we are seeing an improvement in Arwen's nervousness!If you need a trainer, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tim. We'll be back with Arwen for residential training soon!

Met Tim a couple of weeks ago to help train our 3 1/2 month old Rottweiler puppy. Showed us how to do recall, walking to heel and keeping him calm and engaged when training. Had great patience with us and Stoic. Had a great 1 2 1 session and training is going well, I would definitely recommend Tim and the Essex Dog Training.

We were about to return our dog to the rescue as he has bitten a couple of times and is a very strong reactive Malinois - The whole family had a session with Tim last Saturday and have received our training guide by email. I found Tim by accident whilst googling but the fact he was a Police dog trainer prompted us to go with him, plus a very frank conversation with him before our meeting. We had such a good session and we all came home buzzing to help our dog as Tim said he's a great dog but has no confidence. Tim was training us as well as Starsky so now we are all on the same page. We will be booking another session with him at some point once we've had a few weeks to put our new training in place and I will definitely be recommending him.

Tim has been fantastic with our puppy who was so nervous of traffic and general things in day today life . But after a weeks stay with him she has come back a confident puppy who can now conquer her fears . We had what’s app videos everyday to show us how things were going. Tim gives the owner as much as the dog the support they need to achieve a well trained and happy dog . He is always there at the end of the phone if you have any questions. We can’t thank him enough for what he has done .

I have a small cross terrier bread named Bear who can be very anxious and nervous and in past been reactive to new people entering our home as well as dogs out on a walk. Bear, if given the chance will nip out at people or dogs and although as he’s a small dog it’s easier to control, it doesn’t make walk’s enjoyable! We have tried other trainers, dog training classes but nothing quite yet has worked with Bear. Tim came for a home visit and from the off Bear was responsive to Tim (didn’t show any reactivity) Tim showed us different techniques that we hadn’t tried before and I can see there has already been a change in Bears behaviour after implementing the new advice given by Tim. We chose to send Bear for a weeks residential after seeing how engaged Bear was on the 1-2-1 home visit and look forward to the progress!

Tim helped us massively with our first dog - from helping us chose the correct pup, to a home visit to make sure that we had the correct setup and initial disciplines in place, to then having our dog for 10 day residential training. Loads of videos whilst she was away showing progress, she returned a superstar! Thanks Tim, and Karen too of course for looking after her so well x

We took our 11 month old cocker spaniel to meet Tim for a training session and was blown away by the way it went. Tim gave us some excellent tips and things to work on with Cooper and are in the process of working out dates for a residential stay for Cooper for some extended work with tim. Highly recommended. Following on from our 1-2-1 cooper spent one week with Tim on a residential training stay, which went superbly well, great daily updates/video clips of progress during the week, and great to see cooper enjoying himself. We can’t thank Tim enough for his help and time.
