Red Lion Inn Camping & Caravan Park

It's a real shame, pitches we're fine and we'll maintained. The toilets we're awful, dirty and well in need of updating broken taps and a constant leak on the floor. Their was no hot water for showers or washing.When you arrive through the gate your met with bins overflowing, derelict outbuildings and flowerbeds overrun with weeds. It really is a shame as it had the potential to be so much better. At the least it could of been clean and tidy. Discarded gas bottles chucked behind the toilets and various items disregarded around the entrance.Saying that the on site wardens were very friendly.

Caravan park rough and ready very old main field like a famers field paid deposit to stay there and then we could see from satellite pictures how they leave your vans for winter storage goggle maps we have since sold our van so ask them to return our money we were refused beings told it was non refundable before paying it this fact is a lie we were never informed this intact the guy in the office didn’t know what he was doing its a old site and needs badly updatedif you decide to go there the pub and beer garden are lovely

The campsite was fine, the facilities were OK and the price was good. However, there's no free WiFi, in-fact, the staff in the pub refused to give us the code... I know their WiFi system and adding a proper guest network takes 5 minutes. Daft.

Really enjoyed a long weekend here, owners were very friendly and helpful, it isn't expensive to stipe here and there is everything you could need, electric hook up, showers and pot washing facilities. Nice and clean field with the pitches on the outside so children can play in the middle. We will be going back

Been here as a seasonal for a few years now lovely place but prown to flooding around March so was not able to set up and put awning g up till May this year due to seasonal field flooding. Reasonable price bit rollers and showers need up dating.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was spacious and tidy. The shower need a good refurbishment as it's very old and warn down. It's still OK if on a budget and good for families. There's a small playground with a few play swings and slides

Campsite was tired looking and needs a good modernisation.shower and toilet block have seen much better days as only 1 toilet in use and 3 showers in use.shower block smelt mouldy.Pub next door serves food ,we had meal and it was disgusting. Not worth eating there as only serve greasy food.

Great campsite facilities basic but functional, dog friendly but,the grass was a bit long and needed a cut. The prices for staying are very reasonable and a good weekend getaway. The camp site is next door to the Red lion pub which has an excellent range of local beers and good food from local suppliers. The pub has plenty of seating outside overlooking the river nothing better on a sunny day .

Sadly I can't agree with the 5 star reviews! We found the pub, river walks and river views all amazing but sadly the campsite is let down by its dirty facilities.The showers and toilets were dirty and were some of the worst facilities that we have ever used! If you like clean showers and toilets then don't go here.
