Emma at the Grantham store was very helpful and friendly. Went out of her way to turn around the dry cleaning and towel alterations in a quick manner. Very polite and courteous and I would recommend both the cleaning and the sewing service provided.

Had a jacket cleaned and the fabric reacted to the cleaning processes. However, the response by the team at Johnson's was excellent. They tried to clean the jacket again using several different processes and when that failed the claim and refund process was speedy and responsive. Thank you Johnson's for the great way you dealt with the issue and resolved it.

WRONG LENGTH, TWICE. WRONG THREAD. Took 3 pairs of trousers in on Thursday to be taken up to a 29inch inside leg, requested one pair to be done to wear Saturday if possible, rest should have been done for collection Monday. They didnt manage to do the pair for Sat, fair enough, but I collected them Sunday, took them home and they were too long, measured them, they were a 30inch inside leg. I took them back. Monday I got a call saying one pair had a draw string which would be lost if they turned them up. No problem, I said, do them anyway. She then told me they would all be ready for collection on Wednesday! OK, they phoned Weds said they were all ready. It was Thursday before I could collect, only to get there to be told the pair with the drawstring hadnt been done. So they refunded that pair. I got home (now 100 miles away) to discover both pairs STILL too long, one now a 29 and a half inch and the other a 30inch inside leg!!!! Plus the thread they have used is lighter than the trousers so stands out. As if it's not bad enough having to pay more to get trousers to fit, I'm now going to have to get them re-done as I dont live in Grantham. :(

Had two attempts at this Dry Cleaners. First experience took my daughter work blazer they over charged me didn’t realise until I got back home written on ticket was two piece suit clearly wasn’t ? Second attempt today ask if I could have coat back quicker than a week I would have payed express service charged but told they were under staffed and that she was pregnant now is that the fault of-the customer ?? I don’t think so. Please get in staff that have been trained to communicate with people. And Johnson’s I would get my act together you are loosing customers through the staff that are running the Grantham branch my experience today was like taking a step back in time.

This is my first visit to Johnson’s Grantham branch and I was incredibly impressed. All suits were impeccably cleaned and pressed in less than 24 hours and Kim was immensely approachable and helpful - an all round far superior service than other dry cleaning establishments that I have encountered. Thank you Kim for such professional and friendly service…you are definitely my “go to”Dry Cleaners from now on!

I recently made a point of telling the lovely Angie just how delightful I had found her on each of my 3 recent visits. On the day of my beloved mum's funeral, I needed to get a photo printed of her at short notice to put on the casket. Angie did not know the reason why I needed to use the store, but she saw/heard that I had sighed when it was not yet open. She was stood talking with another member of staff, and shouted across to me, 'don't worry I will open up early for you as I am here'. She then assisted me with my phone and transmitting the image (I could not get it to work), all before she even took her coat off! She was so lovely, and I was so very grateful to her as not many people would have opened up 10 minutes early. The fact that it was my mum's funeral also made her actions and kindness all the more welcome. As I said, she did not even know the reason why I needed this photo.

I have had mixed experiences of Johnsons. The percentage of poor experiences is sadly quite high however. The problems were:-Trousers had been adjusted to the wrong lengthA suit bought for a wedding had not been altered at all when I went to collect it. It made the purchase completely pointless.A suit was taken for cleaning and it did not appear to have been touched.TWICE trousers were altered and the stitching came undone. The first time I took them back they said that they had not done them! Apparently the stitching was not done in their usual way. I had had 3 pairs done at this visit - how many pairs of trousers do they think I buy? I reckon the tailor" must have got one of his/her children to do the job! The second time a hem came down I didn't take it back (it wasn't worth the argument) - I have never been back in fact."

I was promised an alteration for a wedding. I was told it would be ready on the Thursday, probably Wednesday but definitely the Thursday. I explained I was catching a train on the Friday morning so it must not be late. When we phoned to collect I was told they weren't ready and the tailor wasn't back in until Friday morning. It was very stressful having to pick up on route to the station and I barely received an apology. The alteration of the pair of trousers I wore was fine but it was a case of over promising something they didn't deliver.

My wife took in some curtains. We collected them, Next day we are rung up to say they had given us the wrong ones, so my wife immediately (5pm) toook them back - round trip 18 miles. Gets the right ones and is then told she had been under-charged (their fault) so had to pay more. No offer to recompenses for her journey to correct their error. Most unsatisfactory.

Never had a problem with timescale however extremely expensive mending service and a couple of jackets I left didn’t look as though they’d been touched on collection! They certainly hadn’t been pressed!I usually take my cleaning to Pristine on Wharf Road for excellent service and try to avoid here whenever possible.
