All three of us had the Ribeye steak meal. Cooked to perfection and everything seasoned well. Good to see the peppercorn sauce and mushroom included in the price and not extras.

The Sunday roasts - one beef, one pork, was delicious. Served piping hot and the homemade dessert was equally fabulous. Service was also excellent. We are hoping to move to the area so this would become our ‘local’. The restaurant was virtually empty when we went (5pm) and no one else had come in when we left at 7pm….where is everyone? This place should be buzzing for Sunday lunch/dinner especially when the standard of food and service was so high, we can’t afford to lose lovely country pubs like this to become another residential dwelling

Friendly, accommodating and helpful. A great place to dine and meet up near Stansted Airport. The children could run around in the garden without upsetting other guests. No complaints about the food, but would suggest maybe more vegetables. Would definitely visit again if we get the chance.

We had Sunday lunch here and the food and service was superb.I cannot remember having a better roast.The portions were generous and the meat was so tasty with perfectly cooked vegetables.The broccoli cheese was really tasty and the deserts especially the sticky toffee pudding which was home made was top notch.The pub is really homely and the coffee afterwards was nice and hot which is rare these days and the WC was lovely and clean and smelt so fresh.I’m just so sad that we don’t live in the area as we would be regulars.Great work team

We had the most amazing evening and James and his amazing team couldn't have done more to provide beautiful food fabulous cocktails and so much kindness well over and above anything we could have hoped for.The atmosphere is warm friendly and super welcoming. Would recommend to anyone and will be back soon.Thankyou all so much you are the best !! Xx

Lovely pub with a good sized restaurant, both the food and the beer were great. Really helpful and friendly staff. Will be going back soon.

Sadly we were sat next to the door to the garden and a birthday party with a large group of children kept running through either banging or leaving the door open, difficult to have a nice meal out. Should have gone to Maccy D's probably would have been quieter. Not the pubs fault.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and shared a Christmas meal here with colleagues, but some of the meals where very good, others over cooked. Perhaps due to the size of the group. Can't comment on what it's like as a small group or couple. Atmosphere is great and staff very helpful.
