Greenacre Guest House

We didn't really feel welcome, more a disturbance. The woman who gave us the key was never seen again. The room is very small. There was no lobby or guestroom to sit in the evening. Everywhere signs of don'ts that gave the guesthouses a flare of a youth hostel.The breakfast was far away from continental, nothing fresh, only instant products from a wholesaler. The room is small and not very comfortable. Again no one from the house was there, to help with the coffee or even to feel appreciated.The room and bathroom were clean and quiet.All in all, we had a good night sleep, but the rest was just not as we hoped for. If you have the choice, book another place.

A cosy traditional guesthouse run by Lachie & Laura. The best view in Connel without doubt and right by the Falls of Lora and Oyster Inn.

Great location views wow. The room is so tiny. Basic. Noisy with other guests above. I can hear everything going on. Not recommended .

Room was very clean, tidy and warm. Had some nice touches with toiletries, tea, coffee and biscuits. Pillows were dreadful though. Breakfast was ok.Would stay here again if visiting Oban in the future.

Quite possibly the rudest individual/host I have ever had the unfortunate experience of meeting. Read on to hear why...This property was booked several weeks prior to a 2 night stay for work. Unfortunately, in the run-up, I experienced a miscarriage and decided to cancel some of my planned work to ease myself back into some form of normality. It was unfortunate I had forgotten in all the mayhem that this booking was for 2 nights and not 1. I received several rather abrupt messages from the owner on the day of arrival demanding where I was. After realising my oversight, i kindly apologised and explained my full circumstances whilst clarifying that we would be up the following day - this heartfelt apology explaining my circumstances was never acknowledged.Upon arrival at the guest house the following day at approx 12pm, we were greeted with an abrupt woman. I kindly advised her who we were, and she speedily replied with check ins not until 4 pm!" Now bear in mind the 2 night stay had already been paid for - she was not out of money but in actual fact 'in pocket' given we had not had breakfast or used her facilities for the additional day we had paid for. Her nose was clearly so out of joint that she expected us to leave

It's fine . And that's the problem . We stayed one night the heating never came on in the room but it was on in the hallway. We did contemplate taking our mattresses in the hallway but we'd have been just as uncomfortable as the beds are not the best and a bit noisy. My view was a back yard but we didn't book the room so I assume work booked the cheapest room available . There is a beautiful coast line outside though . Nice pub down the road that is a little expensive . Our stay was ok the rooms were clean just very small but with a well equipped bathroom . Usb plugs ,hair dryer ,kettle and TV are all there . Breakfast is included but I can't comment on that as we didn't stay for breakfast due to our early start

Conveniently located if you want to catch a ferry from Oban or don't feel like staying downtown". Room was spotlessly clean

6 day stay, view of the Loch great. Continental breakfast adequate location perfect for our needs.

We never stayed here but when we got a flat tire right outside the B&B, and our phones wouldn’t work, Laura was so kind, helpful and accommodating. She let us keep our car in the lot, made calls on our behalf, And her husband gave us a ride to our flat! I don’t know what it is like to stay at Green Acres but I do know that Laura and her husband are wonderful people and I’m sure they take very good care of their guests.

We gave 3 days notice of a ferry cancellation beyond our control but they refused to waive cancellation fee. (All other accommodation were understanding and did waive fees or accommodate date changes).
