Stage 84, The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts

Our daughter has been at stage 84 for the past 9 years, this environment has allowed her to grow confidence and blossom into a talented and hard working young person. Stage 84 has not just assisted in her performance skills it has made her proficient in creating new relationships that allow her to excel in day to day life and encounters that will enhance any future career. Stage 84 has created a second family for her where she feels welcomed and supported whilst not only having fun but getting taught by amazing teachers that push her to achieve her goals and progress her skills in performing arts. The vast amount of classes they offer provide a plethora of opportunities, that allow her to experience different aspects of the industry and get personalised training unlike many other stage schools. Stage 84 is an important part of my daughters life, without it I am not sure she would have achieved so much both in her hobbies and academically, it offers a fantastic level of training as well as an outlook to make friends and build confidence in different aspects of socialisation. If you are looking for a stage school, I would definitely recommend Stage 84.

I can't recommend Stage 84 highly enough. Two of my children, age 12 and 10, take part in the drama classes and they both absolutely love it. My older child told me that the time when she's in class is the happiest hour of her week. She particularly loves working in. small groups on the same piece of work over a period of time. The teachers are very dedicated and care so much. If you're looking for a drama class in Skipton, Stage 84 is what you're looking for.

My child has attended stage 84 for the past 3 years, whilst there he has performed in several shows and main stage events including West Yorkshire Playhouse. During lockdown they were amazing still providing classes online and even a competition for all students. I would not hesitate to recommend sending your child here for excellent training in dance, singing and acting and amazing performance opportunities

My daughter joined Stage 84 in April 2021 and has loved every moment. The teachers and children at Skipton all made her feel part of the team right from the start. I believe that the level of teaching given certainly gives my daughter the ability to become the best she can and the support and opportunities given to her by Stage 84 will help her achieve her goals.

I just wanted to take this time to share how incredible Stage 84 are. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a wide variety of classes available for your child. My daughter has been attending Stage 84 for almost 5 years now and attends Performing arts, 1-2-1 Singing and 1-2-1 Speech and Drama Classes. These classes have been invaluable in building up not only her skills across Musical Theatre but her own self confidence. The teachers and staff are all highly skilled and always encourage children to go outside comfort zones which ultimately builds confidence and character all transferable skills for future careers. My 2 girls started at Stage 84 in 2010. We have spent many happy years taking part in a variety of lessons and performances. I highly recommend for top quality teaching in performing arts.

Just want to say a massive thank you to stage 84! The confidence my daughter has since joining stage is amazing , she's gone from a quiet shy girl to someone so confident auditioning for parts in the shows. This is one thing I never thought I'd see her do. She got a part in Saturday mash-up through stage and was so confident she smashed it. Just want to say this would never of happened if it wasn't for the staff and children at stage 84! Thank you so much x

My daughter has been attending Stage 84 for 6 years now, she started off just doing performing arts which she loved so much she quickly went on to 1-1singing and has completed 4 exams, she is now working hard on her grade 5 exam with the help and dedication of her amazing teacher who takes the time to careful select songs that suit my daughters voice. She is also part of the junior choir which is a smaller group of children all working together to produce some lovely work. Most recently my daughter has started contemporary dance, this is the class that is up there with her favourites at the moment as she is learning a new skill and she shows me every week what she has learnt. Since staring Stage 84 my daughter has grown so much in confidence, has learnt numerous new skills and techniques, loves performing in the shows and taking part in the audition process. She has performed a solo song at a Christmas show and has made so many friends and memories since starting Stage 84 including a best friend for life. I also enjoy been part of the stage school in a chaperoning capacity and look forward to been part of all the amazing shows. My son has also joined performing arts so I think the school will be part of our lives for quite a few years yet. I would definitely recommend this school to others thinking of sending their children to a stage school, there is so much on offer at Stage 84.
