One night stop-over at this lovely B&B in a beautiful, tranquil location. Wonderful host and hospitality, great breakfast and fabulous home baked cake and bread too! Also, only a short walk to local hotel for evening meal and drinks. Highly recommend Salen House B&B, wanted to stay longer!

Ellas place was great, she was very helpful and friendly. Sadly we only had a short stay, so will hopefully come again. Breakfast was perfect!

Fantastic and very talented host, room was very comfortable, breakfast was amazing, Ella is a fantastic photographer and a lot of her photos are on display, she also bakes cakes which are amazing. Would we stay again YES

Personally, i'm only reviewing the German apple cake as i wasn't a resident (i'm sorry to say) at what looks like an amazing place to stay. As i passed through the village of Salen we stopped at the b and b to buy some of tje advertised apple cake which is simply divinity on a plate. Buy it. Try it. You shan't be disappointed at all. Wish i'd bought more.

Top marks. Ella made us feel very welcome. We had a nice big room with views over the water. Breakfast was amazing, with not just a proper fry-up, but crepes, yoghurt and fruit too - definitely enough to get you through to dinner. Ella is also a photographer and has some great pictures of the local landscapes and the Northern Lights, which you can buy. And the apple cake is as good as everyone else has said. Thanks :)
