Ole & Steen

I love the place but maybe need more seating area as it gets so much busy beautiful location. Would recommend if you like healthy breakfast.

I usually like an Ole & Steen but this one on Kensington High Street was deeply disappointing. From start to finish the customer service was poor. Very little confidence in what vegan options were available and then the server started talking to a colleague about finishing her shift before finishing our transaction.Furthermore, when we ordered our drinks, the mug for my tea was an afterthought and I had to go back and ask for the milk and a tray for my three items, even though it should have been obvious I couldn't carry all of them. They also did not provide a spoon. I can absolutely appreciate that little things are forgotten - but the mug, milk, spoon and tray for an order is just sloppy. There was no smile or interaction of any sort when this happened. When I did sit down with my tea they had given me a ripped bag so I had leaves. When I had to ask for my milk they seemed confused and poured out an entire cup of it? Seemed weird.The latte that we ordered was intensely strong, watery and the foam was too bubbly (not smooth) and that filled up half the cup - there was still a lot of it left by the end of the drink.The baked goods were tasty though.

The coffee is fine, either real cups or takeaway is available. Soy milk add on is free, so that’s a bonus here. While the cakes and pastries look great, there are zero options for coeliacs. Bit of a shame. They could think of something wrapped that at least gives a flavour of Scandinavia.Given that they have been in London for a few years now, it’s a bit disappointing.

the real highlight of my visit was the cinnamon rolls. They were absolutely delicious - warm, soft, and perfectly spiced. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Ole & Steen to try the cinnamon rolls - they're worth every penny! Overall, I had a fantastic experience and can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious pastries

The workers are nice and the food is okay. My friend got the ham and cheese toastie and really liked it. My chocolate croissant was just okay. The iced vanilla latte was delicious - very sweet. Nice space to connect with friends. It’s definitely NOT a place to work at. The wifi is very slow and the music is loud, which is the only reason for the low rating.

Good place to take a break, refill or study. The music is a bit loud, and downstairs it's not very clean

Smoked salmon which was part of my dish was so old -i didn't touch it. I ate the eggs but looking at the cleaning level at this place - I regret eating there at all. The cinnamon social i bought for my family (£19) was so stale - it went straight in the bin at home. I actually noticed a customer returning an uneaten one, which didn't look great - that should have been my clue. No soap in the toilet either. I have never had a bad experience in Ole and Steen in other locations but i will not be coming back to this one.

Coffee was good, I’m sure the pastries are tasty. The vibes upstairs are nice and bright but downstairs is dark and dungeony, felt dirty, with 1/2 blocked off. Bathroom was covered in water and no TP. If I’m spending £8 on coffee I expect a decent bathroom experience.

Ole & Steen is a true gem when it comes to sourdough. Their bread is the backbone of our culinary delights at home, and it's simply amazing. Besides the fantastic sourdough, it's also a delightful spot for coffee. The staff here adds a warm and welcoming touch to the experience, making it even more enjoyable.If you appreciate high-quality sourdough and great coffee in a friendly atmosphere, Ole & Steen is definitely a must-visit. It's become a regular stop for us, and we're never disappointed.
