Excellent all round.Service was perfect, delivered by a cheerful and helpful French lady.Food was very good, as expected. No reasonable person could have asked for more.

We’ve been walking by for a week so on our wander to find food this evening we stopped in. I had the steak pie and hubby had a cheese burger. The pie literally could have gone in my pocket and been fine it was so tightly made. lol Just beef in crust. The side veg were not really cooked except the carrots which looked so old I felt sorry for them. Husband said the burger was good. The folks were friendly and the atmosphere was very ‘old world’ as we say. Dark and cozy.

Walked in and were not acknowledged for about 10 minutes. Went up to someone working there and they told us to go to a different area if we wanted to eat, then said there wasn’t enough room for us despite us calling ahead. Once seated we waited for another 10-15 minutes and were once again ignored. We approached the bar and were then told we had to order food there. Half the items on the menu were not available and prices were different than shown online. Our order took almost 20 minutes to put in for three people. This is before even getting the food. When we got back to the table we also saw a waitress taking the order of a table beside us. Really disappointing experience, don’t go here for a Sunday roast

Stopped for lunch while waiting for a train. I Had the chorizo pie that had 2 small bits of chorizo in it so i wouldn't recommend that. And the veg looked a bit old to me wasn't a very tasty pie. The mash was lovely though.Overall just a bit of a let down.Staff were nice and so was the beer

A nice enough city centre bar. It's part of a chain and in many ways it shows. The staff are very helpful, but seemed over worked, and the beer is good but not exceptional.Toilets are not easy to find but clean enough once you get there.A good place to meet up and then move on from.Haymarket Station is close by.

The Haymarket pub is a great location to pop in for a drink or some grub!I visited the bar on a Thursday evening with friends and we found it to be exactly what we were looking for!Staff:The staff were very friendly and atrentive! They let me taste test a few of their Ale's before deciding on the drink I wanted. They also walked around the pub near closing time to let the customers know how long was left. The Layout:The pub and bar is laid out in a but open plan style. There is plenty of space within the bar but there may not be a lot of seating available if you hit it at a busy time! The bar counter has a load of taps with a wide variety of beers, ales, stout and cixsr to choose from. There is something for everyone to choose here!Food:From the menu it looks like this is a good pub for pub grub however, we did not have any on the night we visited.Location:The pub is located on the corner in the middle of Haymarket and its just a 10 minute walk from Princes St.Ideal location if you wanted to get away from the busy tourist area but not be too far at the same time. The pub is right along the tram line and the Haymarket train station is just around the corner with a bus and tram platform as well so you can get to go from here to anywhere in Edinburgh.Overall Opinion:I highly recommend swinging by the Haymarket pub if you are in Edinburgh. The friendly atmosphere and great selection of beers will definitely have me coming back the next time that I am in Edinburgh!

Shocking customer service. Have to order online but this was out of order. Went to the bar to order after waiting 10 minutes for an meme we of staff to acknowledge us and they didn’t even offer half the items listed on the menu. Took 20 minutes to just put in our order. Tried to charge me £27 for my meal when it was detailed as £18 on the menu. Overall terrible experience. Would not recommend.
