Masakali Restaurant Reading

The ambiance is superb. I highly recommend this restaurant.Service was fantastic. We all enjoyed the delicious food and the evening was everything we hoped it would be.

Very good food and service. Food was delicious and different yet authentic. Would definitely come again it has become a favourite to go to eat.

Went with my partner and little boy. We were made to sit in the dark for 10 mins while work was done on the lights. Then we asked could we sit somewhere else and eventually moved us to a part of the restaurant which had light. Note, 80% of the restaurant was in pitch black for the entirety of the night.We were provided a menu which was dirty with multiple stains.. not ideal normally but for a restaurant only open for 2 days is just strange. (Pic included)We also were sitting in a partial building site, WD40 and drills right next to our table (pic attached) splayed out all over the floor. You could smell the sawdust in the air while eating which is never ideal.The sheek kebab was pretty small for £15. Head to bays peri peri and get the same with naan, salad and sauces for under £6.Their Dal Makini was very bland, much better at Royal Tandoori or House of Flavour.. as other options in Reading. Their garlic naan was nice, if not a little small.The manager did come over to check how our food was, I think he was expecting us to be super enthusiastic, when we shared our feedback he didn’t really know what to do, and just walked off.They had an opening weekend offer 50% off, and even with that discount we still felt short changed and left hungry. A real shame, was excited about this place. Next time will stick to Royal Tandoori or Calico for contemporary Indian food in Reading.

We had a very pleasant experience dining here for the first time with family for my daughter’s birthday.The ambience is cozy and the food is delicious. An Indian cuisine with a twist.We all loved the food. Will visit again.❤️

Good food and cocktails. I would just say maybe cos they are new their service was bit slow. The management kept asking about how we weee doing and would expedite the service when needed. Also it was but expensive for the quantity

Had pleasant and wonderful dining experience . Food was wonderful and delicious , being family friendly restaurant would recommend for families for special dining experience

Good restaurant with tasty dishes, courteous staff and very Indian & warm ambiencePros+ balanced and good taste of dishes with+ innovative drinks menu (pic attached)+ well presented dishes+ courteous staff+ nicely arranged tables with good plates and cutlery+ open layout avoids cluttered feeling in the restaurant+ clean washrooms+ Indian songs adds to the ambience+ vegetarian options availableOpportunity areas- limited menu (maybe as they are new)- bit on expensive side- something for kids like a drawing page with crayon etc would help families with kids to have meal at peace
