Quick friendly service. Large portions and extremely good value for money.The food was very tasty and the portions were very generous.Staff were lovely. Very patient and had some banter with the kids.And talk about value for money. £5 for a main, a pudding and a drink.The main advantage over the other cafes in Barnsley is that the food arrives quickly, unlike the other warehouse" cafes in the market that can keep you waiting for up to an hour.This is my new favourite place in Barnsley"

Bit disappointed, gone down hill under new owners. Long wait for food even though not busy. Coffee served with tinny amount of milk in a very small jug, mushrooms amounted to a very very small amount & toast was white. Young girl clearing tables & not even wiping them over. Customers having to ask for knifes & forks. Along way to go to be up to last owners standards

We went to Tillys in Barnsley this morning and were told there was nothing toasted available as the toaster was broken, that's okay in itself, but we were then told that there were no poached eggs, no fried eggs and limited meals available from the menu. At this point we said we would just like a coffee to which we were told 'tables are for people eating food!!' So although there was a limited menu we were not welcome to stay and have a hot drink. We will not be returning!! Thank goodness for the professionalism and hospitality of Massarellas in the Alambra. I couldn't award zero stars, pity.........

New owners going above and beyond for the customers. I had a small breakfast and it was perfect, I was even asked how I wanted my bacon. Very friendly atmosphere
