Gilcar Farm Holiday Cottages

A1.Excellent.

Stayed in the Blacksmiths Shop at the end of July and had an absolutely wonderful time. Angela and Andrew have bent over backwards to help our daughter Jessica who wants to become a vet. The accommodation was excellent; spacious and wonderfully equipped and the area around Emley was picturesque.

Location is quiet and off the main road. Spacious and luxurious.

Lovely place spectacular views

My whole family just stayed in the Blacksmiths cottage. Beautifully converted barn, stone, oak beams, wood burning stove and bursting with character.Angela was warm, welcoming and helpful, expressing Yorkshire folk in the best way.Absolutely loved the place and location and will be back again and again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We were privileged to stay there.

Spacious and a high standard

We have just spent 10 days in The Swallows, Gilcar Farm Holiday Cottages, and loved it! The amenities are excellent, it is comfortable and homely with great outside space if the weather is kind, and Angela is a really lovely lady and extremely helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and it made an excellent base for us as we were not only on a week's holiday but attending a family wedding in nearby Upper Denby as well. We were well looked after, all the indoor amenities that you need to make life comfortable, loads of stuff left in cupboards that we were welcomed to use if we wanted, and it was very quiet and all the neighbours were extremely friendly too, including the cows which our little 2 and1/2 year old granddaughter absolutely loved!
