The team turned up 2 hours late and when they arrived (to chop down 1 tree and 1 stump) they said that my other trees needed chopping down too so I took their advice and agreed a new price. At the end of the day, they had chopped down all the trees but had left high stumps and hadn't touched the original stump that I asked them to get rid of. They said they would return the following day to sort it but needed payment in full - they refused to leave my property until I had paid in full and stupidly I did. They did not return the following day, they said they would come at the weekend. I waited and they did not come. They again said they would come the following weekend, once again they did not show. They had left our garden and driveway in an absolute state with branches, and wood chippings everywhere that I had to pick up by hand - even wood chippings all over my car and now mixed into the gravel driveway that I can't get out. I would recommend that you do not use this company.

Recently had some work done on a couple of trees. These guys know what they're doing and you can count on them to do a good job.In my opinion these are excellent Birmingham tree surgeons so I'd recommend them.

If I could give zero stars I would! Did part of the job, took full payment and never returned! Left a huge mess outside and were unprofessional! Do not use! Had to call someone else out to finish their job!

I received the same treatment as the previous three reviewers. I agreed a job specification and a price and that Birmingham Tree Surgeons would obtain the relevant permissions for Tree Work required in the Conservation Area in which I live. They did not obtain the required permissions and began the work illegally without them, which led to my tree works being halted in mid job. At this point, Birmingham Tree Surgeons demanded payment from me in full despite the fact that the job was only half done, promising to return once I had obtained the permission they had promised to obtain. Despite the fact that I have paid in full as requested, now have the required permissions and have told them so, Birmingham Tree Surgeons have not replied to my messages and still haven't returned to complete the works 16 months later. These people are not reputable or reliable. Do not use.

I rang for some information on tree grinding. The person who I spoke to was not interested and said he would call me back. This did not happen. I would not recommend as they did not value my custom.

Summary: They did part of the work, demanded full payment, then never came back to finish. We kept asking for them to come back and finish for a month but we've accepted our loss now.Me and my partner hired these guys to remove a tree, and grind down a stump in our garden. We had agreed a price for the tree and stump, but they pointed out other trees they advised should be removed so we agreed a new price (nearly double, but seemed reasonable) for the added work and they got started. They made good progress in the afternoon and the trees are now cut down, despite a lot of branches left on the lawn and driveway.They told us they will be back another day to do the stump, and that we need to pay more for the additional trip. I asked to pay for the work done so far, but they insisted they needed full payment for all work in advance there and then, and would not move from the driveway until they saw it in the account. He was apparently instructed by his father that he cannot leave the drive until we have paid for everything, including the work not yet done. So, we paid the full amount to avoid any argument and trusted them to come back and finish the job.We’ve been trying to ask them to come and do the tree stump we originally hired them for, but 4 weeks on, we’ve lost faith now, so we’ll go to someone else to finish the job.

So unbelievably rude!! I just called to make a simple enquiry as a member of the public and they just hung up on me mid conversation. I asked a simple question to which they mumbled 'it's catered for' so I tried to explain my situation and justify myself and he just hung up. Outrageous!

Had one of the guys come out initially and gave me a good quote on the spot and returned on the agreed day to carry out the work. All work was completed and was very happy with the outcome. Would use again
