Pie Central

We turned down more traditional caterers in favour of Pie Central to cater for our wedding, and we could not be happier with how it went. It was a winter wedding, and we had a sit-down meal, with the food being plated onto crockery that we’d hired in, and served directly to guests at their tables. We also opted for canapés, starters and desserts. The food was absolutely incredible, and Mary-Jane is just the one of the most wonderful and kind hearted people you’ll ever meet. Nothing was too much trouble, and she was always trying to find ways to help us make our day run more smoothly. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was, and the best bit is that we can now treat ourselves to pie every year for our anniversary as Mary-Jane often does events and food evenings in Norfolk. I couldn’t recommend Pie Central enough, our day just wouldn’t have been the same without them ❤️

Just got back from Ampersand brewery evening where I had a Pie Central Steak and Ale pie. It was amazing! Really hope you do well because you make great food.

Mary-Jane McDonnell makes the most delicious gourmet pies! I am not usually a pie fan, especially now I have to eat gluten free, but once aware of the issue Mary-Jane altered her recipe to accommodate, and completely won me over with her pies. I have never tasted anything so delectable. The pastry was crisp and golden and the fillings were a wonderful flavour combination. There were chicken with smoked ham and leek or butter nut squash roasted with rosemary before being combined with feta, spinach and various other ingredients to create something akin to a dream. My friends assure me that the non gluten free ones are also good, with a succulent steak and ale filling, which had braised overnight, proving very popular.All this is served in delightful cardboard containers, with a generous helping of creamy mash and some scrumptious minted mushy peas. The wooden knives and forks add to the overall feeling of wholesome, nourishment. I really can't wait for the return of the charming Pie Central van and Mary-Jane's pies.

Just had the Butternut Squash/Feta/Spinach pie at Burnham Deepdale Christmas Market. I have to say this was one of the best pies I have ever tasted.

Fantastic steak and ale pie also especially good was the gluten free chicken and leek. Great to see a company taking into consideration people with allergies

My Dad said they were ‘The best pies I’ve ever tasted’ and from a food loving Father of the Bride that is high praise indeed! We loved Pie Central from start to finish- friendly and fun with a great product. Our guests loved the pies and I have never seen so many clean plates at a wedding! I couldn’t recommend them enough! We had Pie Central for our wedding last week and they were excellent. Mary-Jane went above and beyond to help us and the pies were delicious, with great sides. We got lots of compliments on them at the wedding and I'd highly recommend - something different to the usual wedding fare!
