Pros: Nice park, great place to bring children and dogs. Lots of tables, inside and outside (some covered too).Cons: Coffee. They have a proper big espresso machine but make little effort to make nice coffee. If you like a nice coffee with a pretty pattern on top, you'd be best to lower your expectations here...

Although we have been car park season ticket holders since inception, we have tended to use the cafe at the water sports centre. Going there for a walk with my dog for exercise and rehab after hip surgery, we are now using the cafe at the visitor centre.Same menu, but we love the dog friendly cafe. Dogs are only allowed in the conservatory at the other cafe, which can be a little cold, even austere. At this cafe, it feels cosier and has different types of seating, which I've appreciated whilst recovering from surgery.I like the food. It isn't cheap, but they use quality ingredients, so represents good value in my book.

Disappointed that their kitchen was closed at 13.50hrs! So no hot food, (after a 2 hour stroll on a chilly day) just pre-made sandwiches etc from the fridge or slices of cake which were quite high prices. We asked to see a menu for the future, and we're told the kitchen closes at 3pm. However, they told us it was closed today because 'it wasn't busy' but there were 6 tables in use when we were there (between12-15 people). That's surely busy enough to keep the kitchen open.

Most magical magnificent place to eat, set in a wild life park the cafes are beautiful and modern. Sat inside or outside summer or winter it's a beautiful view. The price of food and drink is a little expensive however it's all in a good cause to keep the park active and maintained. The food and drink is of a high standard definitely worth the price.Staff are friendly even offering gluten free alternatives if asked.

Beautiful spot for tea and ice cream. Enjoyed the lovely views, walk, bike ride and playground. Fantastic day out. Pricey car park. It is worth bringing own bikes as the hire of a bicycle per guy is about £25. There are a lot of activities available, such as canoeing, kayaking, body boarding and more. There is also a farm shop by the lake where it is possible to buy cereals in your own box or jar. Two cafes on site to choose from.

Great service and friendly staff. Love coming here. Excellent Earl Grey tea. Been refurbished now. Would be great if it were open later in the summer like the kiosk was tonight. Loyalty card available for hot drinks. Discounts for parkrun and parking membership

My husband and I leave on a walk with our children and end here before we turn back home. The cafe can prove to be crowded at certain times, but it’s always a pleasant visit.
