Consistently top notch fish n chips: Thin crispy golden batter and tartare and a lemon wedge on the side. Always so fresh and piping hot. The Thai Rendang was also amazing: tender beef, good portions and authentic, fragrant sauce.

AVOID! We ordered via just eat. Said it was delivered, but never received the £40 order. We called to see what was going on. The lady was uninterested said to call the driver, but she didn't know who he was. They had no clue where our order was and were really unhelpful. No customer service and no interest except in taking your money. We tried again to call she told us to deal with it ourselves and hung up.

Great fish and chips. Never had to queue and fish always cooked to order, making it consistently tasty. Battered sausage good too. I assume the rest of the menu is just as delicious

Went last week for a dine in as it's been a while since I last went. Service was terrible and slow only two staff, I understood it's a Friday but the fella behind the till was too old and kept getting people's orders wrong. Tonight I gave them another chance with a take away... the sausage and batter was soggy not crispy and the curry sauce was that watery it might as well of been soup.

I really like this joint. Everytime I work in SW London I drop by. Clean and hygienic so that's important. The food is also very good, both traditional fish and chips as well as the Thai made to order menu. The owner seems like a good guy too

The major plaice is a very good fish and chip shop 2 either eat in or take away good food and staff however because of shop's location you have to be very careful of road traffic entering the public footway at a pedestrian traffic light which you have mopeds entering from one side not obeying traffic signals and motor vehicles leaving the footway on the opposite side from a kebab shop the opposite side of the road on the crossing again in a dangerous place & way while you are trying to cross safely but don't worry the local councils know about the problem and allow them to carry on while they sit on their arse at home doing nothing

Thursday 19th August 2020 my wife and I had a very nice fish and chip meal in the Major Plaice. Coming up from Bournemouth where fish and chip shops are like a major food chain, I found that the fish had a golden colour batter and the chips light and tasty. Served that day by the owner who is a friendly guy. One of the best meals and I can recommend it.

On Tuesdays to Thursday in the actual restaurant and over the phone (not on uber eats) they do a selection of thai food. It's great! Real amazing hidden gem and the owner and chef really knows his food! Not what you'd expect from fish and chips.Been walking away with curries, fantastic duck spring rolls, calamari. Great!

Lovely fish and chips , very fast delivery and absolutely delicious food. This has to be the best fish and chip shop in epsom. You won’t be disappointed here. You can’t beat the food here. Everything is lovely and fair prices too
