Pivotal - Subscription by Jaguar and Land Rover
I was originally pleased with the Pivotal offer but would now ADVISE AGAINST their service.At the first vehicle exchange, I was advised by the collection inspector / driver that my first rental from them was generally in good condition and he could not see any particularly chargeable damage. He inspected the car for over an hour.I was therefore surprised and disappointed to receive an invoice sometime later for £600+ of repairs.I disputed this with them and received an a reduced charge of circa £350 rather than the original £600+.Subsequent correspondence has seen Pivotal apologise for poor wording of ‘damage’ on their reports but now they have advised that I contact a dispute resolution service.By way of comparison, I subscribed to my previous EV via Elmo Drive and received zero charges upon its return. I am careful with the cars I drive.This feels like an opportunity for Pivotal to extract further monies from their client base and is distasteful.I am looking forward to taking my business elsewhere.Update: I have read Pivotal’s response.1. What is the point of a detailed inspection at the point of collection if there is to be another back at the return centre? At the point of collection your driver did not point out a dent in the front bumper for which you are now attempting to charge £199.65 + VAT2. They originally attempted to charge me £68.80 to replace an insecure tailgate badge. Surely this is a manufacturing issue? How in earth could I have done this.

I've waited some time into my membership before writing this review. I had a brand new iPace delivered to me in July, perfect handover and the car was an amazing spec. Communication with the team has been transparent and speedy. I had a small issue with the car itself, but between Pivotal and the local dealer they handled it perfectly. I've worked in Automotive Management for over 20 years and I can see why Pivotal and subscription are the future.

Not sure where to start really!Unfortunately, I made a decision to become a Pivotal Business Customer and took out 3 subscriptions/vehicles which I now truly regret.The most recent nightmare was today when I had a Rage Rover delivered with lots of Damage to the Interior and filthy exterior. They called me this morning to tell me there would be a delay as the car was being valeted. However, they left the £5.99 local petrol station car wash receipt in the car (Image attached).I called to say I was unhappy with the vehicle that had been delivered and was told a senior manager would call me to resolve the issue.A guy by the name of Leon then calls me and claimed to be (Head of Sales) who quite frankly just made the situation and my opinion of Pivotal 10 times worse than it already was. He was extremely patronising and argumentative without actually taking the time to review the complaint and look at the pictures.I then asked to speak to his manager as he was being really rude, to be told in a very patronising manner that the Managing Director (John Murphy) will call me in 28 days!I am left with paying for a damaged, dirty vehicle which is not the vehicle I ordered and a very poor customer service experience (if you call it that)If this is the way you treat your customers then there's no surprise you have such a poor review score on all the forums.

Having joined the Pivotal scheme around 4 months ago, I cant recommend them high enough. This was intended as a stop gap between the end of contract on my AMG C63S to delivery of an Audi RS6, something to keep me mobile until things settle down with Covid and the car markets also settle down. Seems Covid is settling down a little now at least, but less so for the car markets. You know what, I'm not even bothered about how long that takes anymore now.The absolute perfection of the scheme is the ability to stop / start at anytime and without penalty. Flexibility like this in todays world isn't easy to come by, when you find it, grab it with both hands and don't let go. If anything the peace of mind in being able to take any obstacle the pandemic may throw at us without added / unnecessary baggage is making me want to stay longer term.Sure, there are a LOT and I mean a LOT of people who hear about it and then come back with the leasing is cheaper" statement.Trouble is

Having seen the Porsche Passport scheme launched in USA some years ago the subscription model was always interesting to me. Having started an Ltd company and recently selling my Mini for a great price this allowed me to look at the subscription model from Pivotal. I have to say what an amazing service I had from the team, a quick sales call from Tilly - very professional - I signed up for the ipace. Initially quoted 8 weeks for delivery which was shortened to a couple of weeks after talking to the team. Delivery was super smooth, a great experience all round. Thanks Pivotal.

Massive thanks to the team at Pivotal. From the moment I tentatively enquired, then some time later when I joined, my expectations have been managed extremely well. I should also add I’m a bit fussy.Can’t fault the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. I had previously leased a car through a different company which was a headache. Pivotal appear as a polished and well accomplished service - what you would expect from dealing with the manufacturer. The bonus for me is no more hassle dealing with our local LR Dealership. When you call Pivotal they actually call you back unlike the local dealership.Pivotal is without a doubt the way to go.Special thanks to the Gentleman who discussed the car allocation with me.In summary - everything went as they promised just like it says on the tin!

Recently received my first car, an I-Pace Black in stunning Portofino Blue.I was initially quoted a 12 week lead time however from enquiry to vehicle delivery it was just over 6 weeks. Throughout this process the team were very responsive and helpful.I was also advised that the car would be up to 12 months old. Mine was brand new!So far the experience has greatly exceeded expectations.

I used the pivotal business car lease service for 6 months and had the ipace. I thought the initial process was simple and the car itself was great to drive. However, the problems start to arrive when you hand the car back. They charged me £400+ to fix some stone chips on the bumper. I’m not sure how this is not classed as wear and tear as stone chips are bound to happen when doing any motorway driving, particularly the bumper.I’ve used many business car leases and never had an issue like this before and generally look after my cars, so when I found this, it left a sour taste in my mouth and I won’t be back. It will certainly be my first and last JLR car as I’d rather stick to the competitors and not be stung by ridiculous fees.Please also see other poor reviews for the same issue so beware!

I have a Jaguar Ipace with Pivotal. When moving house we lost our key, annoying and frustrating and after looking high and low could not find it. After a few days we spoke to Pivotal (Sam Lacey) who went out her way to help us, sadly we faced a expensive replacement key bill or insurance claim - rightly so it was our fault. Sam was in constant communication and tried to make it all as easy as possible. Luckily and some stroke of luck I used our Van (which we used to move) and found the key in the sun visor area, no idea who put it there i'm guessing someone put them there during the move. Anyway of course I rang Pivotal straight away and managed to sort it all out and prevent any big costs. Again she went our her way to help us. Genuinely good customer service and help the whole time, from being flexible around calls while I had meetings and travel etc. They really deserve a 5 star review. Good work. I should also say the general service and experience has been very very good. Had my I-pace for nearly 6 months now and love it.

Pivotal is one of a small but growing number of organisations providing a subscription service to augment vehicle ownership. Having looked at the selection of other providers I felt that Pivotal provided the best solution to my specific needs; wanting flexibility to meet my work circumstances and the ability to adapt to situations (thought I would be emigrating overseas with work but covid put paid to that), a competitive price and above all, a great customer experience. My experience has been nothing other than excellent. I have the option to change my vehicle every 6 months if I wanted to - I actually elected to stay in my car for a full 12 months given I had a top specced IPace HSE Black Edition and the pandemic meant that some features were not available on a replacement vehicle (slight challenge in that I now have very high expectations ;-))I'm now at the point where I am about to change and whilst I am most likely to plump for another IPace (awesome car btw) - I have the option to go for another car from the JLR range.From initial enquiry / contact Tilly Ayres was excellent - professional, attentive, reliable and extremely responsive to the point I wondered if I was the only Pivotal customer (I'm not - it's more that Pivotal has a great approach to customer service, embodied by its people).Jason Seaby has also been very helpful in car handover's too, staying in touch and trying to meet my specific (and fairly exacting) needs. Of course, I have looked at other options, it would be daft not to, and the monthly price compares very well. A small initial deposit of £500 (not 9 months down payment) and the option to flex to suit needs including stopping and starting at any time - no 36 month / 48 month agreement with inflexible terms. I pay £1,000pm for my IPace all in and I can't get many lease schemes to equate favourably against that figure. Sure, you can get inferior cars cheaper but if you want a quality premium car, the Pivotal offering really stacks up and IMHO can't be beaten.In short, I can wholeheartedly recommend Pivotal if you want to drive a quality car with the assurance of any issues being resolvable at a reasonable price with the added bonus of excellent customer service / care and complete flexibility. It's refreshing to be with an organisation in the automotive trade that holds these values and principles.
