Smokin Skye BBQ
Anita and Simon have got a really good experience going here for any people visiting to the Isle of Skye. Welcoming and incredibly friendly people, we were settled straight in and mixed with some wonderful people in the most beautiful surroundings. The food was exquisite, we had the sausage alongside the peppers and potato salad followed by toasted marshmallows and strawberry’s with white chocolate. We would highly recommend you book in!

Nice experience in a wonderfull environment with a superb host!We made a reservation only a few hours upfront. Still everything was well organized and food was really good!!!! (Mention at reservation you're a big eater...Anita will take care of it!)Something we would do again!

In an adorable Finnish “hut” that looks as though it is home to faeries & gnomes, we had the best time of our whole trip! Book early so you don’t miss out. Skewers of meat (or vegetarian sausages!), hummus, veggies, bread, amazing chocolate with sweet strawberries. The food is cooked over hot coals by Anita, the wonderful host of the feast. Listen to the waterfall, learn about the area, feast on the delicious food. Simon, our other host, dropped in later & we loved talking to both he & Anita.I cannot put into words how much fun we had & what a lovely end to our trip this was. Trust me, it’s worth every penny. Just book it!

Took my partner for A BBQ Hut experience and it was wonderful, warm, friendly beautiful decoration and wonderful food ! Highly recommend!. We also went for a beautiful walk in the woods , on a lovely evening a great all around Experience. Thank you Anita for hosting and cooking up a storm….. Josephine & Douglas

Smokin Skye BBQ
Anita and Simon were great hosts and it was such a treat to share their beautiful woodland garden for an evening. The barbecue hut is warm and cosy and nestles into the woods. From there we took a stroll though the trees, past waterfalls to a private beach. We came back to a our choice of delicious food (we had the sausages) which we cooked ourselves while we chatted to other guests and made new friends. The BBQ is a little treasure in the south end of Skye, which is totally different to the big hills and mountains at the north end. We felt we had seen a different side to the island whilst enjoying lovely, freshly cooked home made food in the company of delightful hosts. It's an experience not to be missed.

I could not recommend Anita's BBQ hut more! The location is gorgeous, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is unbeatable. All three of us agreed we would be returning here upon future visits to Skye. It's definitely a hidden gem.

Smokin Skye BBQ
There are very few eating options, so it's nice to have wonderful food close by.Anita and Simon were the perfect hosts. They were able to accommodate us with a little notice and able to accommodate my food allergies. They offer vegetarian/vegan option as well.Loved the smore option for desert. The surroundings are too beautiful to do it justice, but there are waterfalls right by the hut.The food was outstanding as well. Would definitely go back.

What a fantastic experience. Anita & Simon are just the best hosts. The location is fantastic in South Skye. We had a blissful wander through a beautiful woodland leading down to one of the most fantastic small beaches I’ve ever visited. Upon our return to the lovely “Lord of the Rings” style BBQ hut we had beautiful bbq food with chicken, sausages, roasted/ bbq vegetables and salads, followed by strawberries with melted white chocolate and roasted marshmallows. I defy anyone not to just love it. 11/10 food rating and the same for location, experience and hosts. Just fabulous. If you’re on Skye this is an absolute “must do”.

A novel and highly enjoyable dining experience featuring excellent and beautifully prepared food for the BBQ. Our night was made yet more memorable by the very convivial atmosphere of the host’s characterful Finnish-style hut and the thoughtfulness of their presentation of every element of the evening. Very highly recommended!

Smokin Skye BBQ
Wow! The Smoking Skye BBQ experience was a surprise highlight of our visit to Isle of Skye and exceeded our expectations. The hosts, Anita and Simon, pulled out all the stops and were welcoming and fun hosts. Before dinner, we had a nice and leisurely walk through the woodlands that opened up to an incredible shore view making for great photo opportunities (see below). The dinner was delicious and may have been the best meal we had during our 3 night stay in Skye. Anita helps you grill yummy chicken and sausage skewers she excellently seasons and prepares before you arrive and provides tasty veggies, potato salad and buttered rolls as sides. For dessert we toasted marsh-mellows over the fire and dipped them in melted white chocolate. Would definitely recommend you take advantage of this local experience!
