Called Chris out on a recommendation. Job was to change locks on and repair two commercial cash safes that had been damaged as well as servicing the inner workings and resetting all codes. This was due to change of contractors on site. Chris was fantastic, brilliant communication, came out as soon as he could, provided a cost estimate and completed the job to an extremely high standard. He is clearly highly skilled at what’s he does and is now our preferred engineer. He is a genuine safe engineer, not phased by the biggest and best safes as he knows what he’s doing. Definitely the person to call FIRST before anyone else looks at your safe! A true craftsman.

I can highly recommend Chris, he came out to us on the same day that we contacted him. Chris was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.We contacted Chris after, following a burglary where they snapped the lock, our insurers had installed new locks to our doors. As Chris is qualified as a master locksmith, we wanted further advice from him in respect of the locks now installed, in order to prevent further burglaries.He showed us that the locks fitted by the insurers were poor quality, the wrong size, and how they had been fitted incorrectly due to the previous installers lack of knowledge regarding the mechanics of how a rock door operates (making it easy for burglars to get in again).Chris skilfully fitted high quality locks to rectify the issue on the same day. The new Ultion locks prevent snapping, bumping and picking and have the three star diamond rating. We now feel much safer. We wish we had spoken to Chris sooner.Chris has now also fitted the new locks to the houses for our close family. Replacing the locks which can be broken into in under 10 seconds (watch the video on the ultion website); this is what happened to us. We are now telling all our friends and family.My advice to anyone, who wishes to get new locks, or advice regarding whether their locks should be replaced etc, and wants to be safe in the knowledge that it’s done to a professional standard, by an honest and reliable person, is to contact Chris. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t recommend him enough.

Urgent problem with door not locking. Chris came out within four hours and fixed the problem - no hassle or fuss. He was polite, friendly, professional and very very knowledgeable. A firm you can trust! Will definitely recommend to friends and family and will always use them ourselves from now on.

Fantastic service today from Chris @ Hewitt Safe Opening. We were suffering a major issue with one of our safes at our Ossett depot. Chris was able to resolve the issue over the telephone with no cost implications to ourselves. Couldn't recommend him highly enough and will be at the top of our list for any future work.
