My Heart Skipped Dating Photography

Ms. Lucy Williams is not a ‘wedding photographer’. In fact, she is a storyteller, par excellence. We wanted someone who would do more than merely record the day, but evoke the spirit and atmosphere of our wedding. Also, we knew that Lucy’s reportage style would complement our plan for the wedding, which we intended to be informal, relaxed and, above all, fun. Our wedding had a Regency theme, and we knew that Lucy would be as keen as us to capture every carefully commissioned detail - the rings, the flowers, the Bride being laced into her corset. The end result was less a series of photos, more a little movie made into stills. Lucy’s profound technical photographic knowledge and experience of the moving image surely contributed to a collection of photographs that has been a joy to share. It should go without saying that Lucy is great with people, making instant friends of total strangers - even the ‘difficult’ ones. Lucy Williams is not a wedding photographer; that is exactly why you should hire her for your big day.

Had such a fantastic experience with My Heart Skipped Photography... Was looking to make every effort to get some nice photos taken for online dating, and was nervous about doing it as I'm not super comfortable in front of a camera. But I'm really glad I took the plunge and got in touch with MHS.Lucy was so helpful and understanding in her communcation, very professional all round and a brilliant photographer. Not only am I really happy with the photos I have come away with, which I hope will help me with meeting the right person, it was also simply a wonderful experience on the day meeting Lucy and spending the couple of hours on the session.Lucy made me feel at ease, despite my nerves; she understands how to bring the best out of you, and understands that dating and all that comes with it is quite a vulnerable thing to do. Shortly after moving into a Boston apartment with my now fiance, he was given the opportunity to work in London for three months during the summer of 2013. He had planned to propose during the time that he would be away, so he changed his plans and popped the question one week before his departure. As exciting as it was to be engaged, it was a tease since the next time we would see each other was two months later when I planned to visit him. Though none of this was part of how we saw our engagement playing out, it posed a great opportunity for us - to have our engagement photo shoot in London! We researched photographers online and finally found someone who seemed to fit our personalities and aesthetic. Lucy could not have been a better fit. She was cheery, professional and creative. Not only did she direct us for most of the shoot, she had an eye for finding hidden gems within our shoot layout. To bring home a true London feel, we decided to have a semi formal shoot take place in the Queen's Gardens at Regent's Park then later change to a more casual style. By the end of the shoot we had photos with the underground train aka The Tube"

Lucy did my dating and profile photos. Our session was very natural, well organised and lots of fun. Lucy had even staked out the local police station's garden and asked for permission to use it as she had noticed it would make the perfect background!My photos were lovely, exactly what I was looking for. They even attracted a photographer on a dating site who was impressed by Lucy's pics. Three years later we are still together!

Lucy is a master at what she does. I hate having my photo taken but she made the whole experience of shooting portrait and business branding shots for my new website a relaxing and FUN experience. She is the loveliest person and she really understood my brief, was great at communication and went the extra mile on the day to get some beautiful shots that far exceeded my expectations. The after shoot experience was great too - clear communication and an easy-to-use download service. I wouldn't hesitate to use Lucy again for any photography and highly recommend her business. You won't be disappointed. Five stars.

I'm very pleased I chose Lucy and her photographic expertise. She was superbly professional, welcoming, and warm, and made me feel at ease during what could have been quite a self-conscious process. She was an all round delight to work with. I'm pleased with the photos too. They look great. Obviously they are very professional, which is what I paid for. Brilliant easy experience throughout. Lucy communicated well organising dates/times and pre info, very organised and thorough during the shoot giving clear instructions to follow but also allowing time to find natural shots. Despite often being self-conscious reviewing photos, I found them of a very high quality and liked so many I struggled to narrow it down.

Hi although I was initially a little nervous I enjoyed the session with Lucy. I recommend being organised beforehand . I bought an inexpensive tripod and familiarisedmyself with the set up to help things run smoothly.Lucy made the session fun and lighthearted. She is very experienced and I have ended up with some great photos. She is flexible and works with you to achieve your desired results.Thanks Lucy!

I searched through multiple websites trying to find the right photographer for my needs. When I found Lucy's I could tell straight away that she was what I was looking for and contacted her straight away. Lucy has very good knowledge about the whole online dating arena and gives great advice. Furthermore, she did a fantastic job with the photoshoot, making every penny I spent worthwhile.
