I was very impressed with my interaction with Fernite of Sheffield.My enquiry for a very small amount of steel for a blacksmith project wasn’t something they could process (I only wanted one single piece of metal for a replica sword project), however, the staff were extremely helpful in providing contacts for other possible suppliers. I was completely clueless regarding how to go about finding the most suitable steel, and Richard took the time to explain I needed an E45 spring specification. He didn’t need to be so helpful and I am very grateful he took my call in the first place, and secondly, followed up with an email giving a number of other suppliers who might help!I seems that in todays world it’s getting more and more difficult to speak to a human who is actually willing to give their time, even when there is nothing in it for themselves.If I ever need to purchase a larger quantity of steel in the future, there is only one company I will call.Richard,Thanks again for your help!
