Hackney Spanish

Am really enjoying learning Spanish with Hackney Spanish and have made great progress since I started in early 2020 in the beginners class and am now upper intermediate. I have experienced both Julio and Fernando as teachers and they are equally great. It is a mixture of grammar and conversation and works well. I started off in face to face classes which then moved online to accommodate lockdown but this worked well and I felt part of an online Spanish learning community. But also looking forward to being back in a real classroom soon! I would highly recommend Hackney Spanish.

I would highly recommend Hackney Spanish! The classes are very easy going and fun and Fernando has been a great teacher. You get to learn a lot in a very relaxed atmosphere. The class is something I look forward to every week and will definitely continue!

Took part in the Upper Intermediates & Advanced class - although this covers a range of abilities, Julio (the teacher) did a great job of keeping everyone involved and engaged throughout. A nice range of texts and topics to look at in class and super useful! I'll be signing up for an additional term!

I have been a student at Hackney Spanish on and off for the last 5 years, and I would never go anywhere else for my Spanish lessons! I have done both group courses and one on one lessons and I can highly recommend both. I am now really confident in my Spanish and have reached a high intermediate level. I cannot recommend Fernando enough, he is an exceptional teacher who makes you feel comfortable and supported - he is also just a really interesting and nice guy and I really look forward to our lessons. I have tried learning on apps and online courses but they don't even slightly compare to lessons at Hackney Spanish, it is best way of learning I have experienced short of living in a Spanish speaking country! I also sometimes take part in the Tuesday meet-up online chatting sessions, which are a casual and cheap way of maintaining your ability if you don't want to invest in lessons - these are also great. 5 stars to Hackney Spanish, it is an amazing school!.

I’ve been attending Hackney Spanish for two terms now. I really enjoy their he classes and time goes so fast . There is a good level of gramma, comprehension, listening and talking. There is also flexibility as if you miss a class you can catch up online. I can highly recommend it !

I've been learning Spanish with Hackney Spanish now for two years and its been one of the best experiences I've had, I've gone from being anxious about language learning and how to take the first steps to now feeling confident as a Spanish speaker. Fernando and other language teachers I have had really care about my progression and tailor classes and the route we take uniquely to me, incorporating my life experience and real world content and context, couldn't ask for a better language school, and grateful it's here in Hackney too!!

Julio is such a great teacher. Every class is so engaging and interactive. I would highly recommend this school.

I can't recommend Hackney Spanish highly enough. After a couple of years of slow progress with apps like Duolingo, I started working with Fernando and the team in April. The pace of improvement is remarkable. The teaching is tailored to your confidence and interests, I feel stretched but not overwhelmed, and they are a lot of fun!

Fernando is a fantastic teacher and cares very much about the success of his students. He is always friendly, patient and encouraging. Having these classes online has been incredibly convenient for me as well. I would absolutely recommend!
