The girls and I went for Sunday dinner here, with our furry friends! Excellent service and the chef was very accommodating with my dietary requirements too! Thank you all and you’re doing a great job in the world of hospitality

There is a lot which can be improved upon. When signing up you are meant to get a free drink. There were 3 of us who signed up, there was a glitch in the online system for choosing your free drink.. It wouldn't let you have what you were asking for out of the available options! and only gave very few options left that were from the available list. I ordered scampi and when it came the meal was lukewarm as we're all the meals, the scampi was overdone and dry and the chips were dry. I had to put a load of mayo on the chips to stop them sticking in my throat they were that dry. The meal was very disappointing. The

A group of 6 ladies we were booked in for Christmas Fayre at 12.15. The table was laid beautifully for Christmas. Meal served promptly when we were all seated. Staff were very pleasant. The food was served up looking good and tasting good. We all enjoyed our meal and wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend a visit.Thank you.

Food was lovely good portions nicely presented and delicious. Service was very good and staff friendly. The only down side it was a bit chilly where we were sitting. I have visited before and definitely will be back. It was very enjoyable.

Some time ago, I posted a pretty negative review for another pub in Durham. It was a chain pub that advertised great food, but the fact of the matter is that the food was bland and overpriced. Really, I could only recommend it for the beer and (sort of) the atmosphere. On the other hand, the Duke of Wellington (known affectionately as the Welly") is probably about as good as this type of pub is going to get. The beer is reasonably priced

The food is good but I wouldn't say its outstanding. The place has a nice warm feeling to it, spacious and friendly.

We went for lunch. We had a lovely welcome as always. We both had scampi and chips with a side of onion rings and a large cappuccino. We really enjoyed both the food and coffee. We were served by Diane who is so attentive and friendly , she always makes time to make you feel at home, as do most of the staff.

A pub that has very good value food, welcoming staff, plenty of seats and customers are mostly locals. The pub comes with free parking as well.

Group of 12 had festive menu. Starters were OK. 4 got festive burger as main. Poorly presented. None of the burgers came with bacon as advertised. Plates were stone cold. Traditional festive main was slightly better but people said meats and gravy very salty and vegetables poorly prepared. Desserts mixed. Profiteroles OK. Brownie very cloying. Crumble was good. Christmas pudding was not as expected and no choice of accompaniment offered. Surroundings very festive. Service was OK but had to wait a while for each course.
