I've taken my guitars to Jamie for a few years now. All I can say is he's never let me down and has helped me with set ups, pick ups and other guitar related issues.Friendly, down to earth, fast and reliable.Would definitely recommend.

I have known Jamie for over 15 years. During that time, he has looked after my guitars. He has done fret dressing, fitted pick ups, set up several guitars and most recently fitted a battery box on my acoustic. He also built me a lovely Telecaster. His work is of the highest quality and I wouldn't take my guitars to anyone else. In addition, Jamie is always willing to give advice when needed and is a top bloke.

I always take my guitars to Jamie for set ups and repairs. He recently did some excellent work on my Guild D55 and the work he did on my Gibson Hummingbird a while ago was amazing, too, fitting a pick up and now it's such a great guitar to play. Jamie's not local to me (about 40 minutes away) but it's always worth the trip!

Initial Experience of J.Davey Guitars.I contacted Jamie about my Epiphone Bass for cosmetic repairs. He answered quickly and arranged a consultation. Visited today, made to feel like this is quality service. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Has a solution approach. Fantastic examples of his work. I will review again once the work is done, however, so far, excellent. Important to note that he is very busy indeed.Part Two:Final Experience of J.Davey Guitars.Collected my Bass and took along my children to see the Showroom. J Davey is a great guy, friendly and professional and really knows his stuff.The work was carried out to an exceptional standard. The Bass Guitar looked better than I even expected. The intonation was good. The finish, amazing.My instruments are very special to me, so having them look good and sound perfect is important to me: if I could give 10 stars I would.J Davey has set up guitars for big bands and plays himself. You can trust him to make you the perfect instrument or repair your beloved!Thanks J for everything!

I really cannot say enough good things about the quality of service and knowledge that Jamie has in the guitar business. I have commissioned with Jamie 4 custom guitar builds over the past few years and my most recent was in July 2021.Nothing is ever too much trouble, his set ups make the guitars play like a dream.Jamie is a true gentlemen and I would highly recommend his service.

I have had Jamie work on my guitars for over 5 years, as well as building a custom Telecaster for me earlier this year. Jamie is a great guy and a master at his craft. The setups he does are done to a very high standard and simply perfect. I recently took my Taylor to him for a setup and the difference his work has made to it is amazing. It feels so much nicer to play and looks really fresh and clean. Would 100% recommend him.

Jamie did a great job in repairing a finish on my Strat headstock, something I feared touching myself, the result was fantastic.Note to self and anyone taking their guitar to be worked on - set yourself a realistic timeframe! take to using a different guitar if you can for a bit, whilst awaiting for work to be completed.Jamie is very busy, and some of these things cant and won't be rushed.all in all a great service.

The service at J Davey guitars is fantastic attention to detail is everything, i recently picked up my third custom build and it truly is a phenomenal instrument. refinishing , setups , repairs i have experienced it all no job is to big or small. Jamie always finds time to answer any question, each guitar really is a work of art, i highly recommend Jamie and his craftsmanship to anyone who is looking to build their dream guitar

Id heard about J Davey guitars through Status Quo, as he had made loads of his Custom Series teles for the band... and I thought if Quo are actually buying them off Jamie, instead of just getting freebies" from Fender
