Had done flooring in March 2023 in kitchen, floor moved almost immediately, we had to buy a rag to cover the holes. Send email 2 weeks ago- what can Tapi Carpet can suggest- 2 weeks after got email- they can’t help. As it’s 1,5 years ago been done.I didn’t expect free new flooring - at least they can suggest to fix flooring for extra fees- but nope.So I think this is really bad.

Better than any other carpet store in the area.

i went into tapi carpets this morning and was helped my a woman called chris who was so nice and friendly and couldn't be more helpful she even got me a hot chocolate as we were going through carpet samples.

I was supposed to get my carpets fitted today between 8am and 10am. I heard nothing from Tapi carpets during this time. I waited until 10.30 and then decided to go back to work. At 10.40 as I was travelling to work, the fitter called to tell me he was on his way. I told him I was no longer at the house and was on my way back to work. Without apologising he said ok and hung up.Later on I received a phone call from the Orpington branch of Tapi (again not bothering to apologise) instead he said ‘ ‘ so you’ve decided to go back to work then?’. He then wanted to reschedule for Monday morning. I told him that I would have to think about it (as I knew I would have to call the removal company to check with them as I am due to move house on Monday morning). Later on I called back to let Tapi carpets know that it would be impossible to fit the carpets on Monday morning and requested a refund. This is incredibly frustrating as I have been painting the house all week (including all night last night) to complete before the fitting deadline (8am to 10am) this morning. Now I am left with paint stained old carpets ahead of my move. Tapi carpets offered to reschedule to fit the carpets in 6 days (on Wednesday ) and would move ‘certain’ items of furniture free of charge for me - this rescheduling is ridiculous as the whole idea was to have the house complete before myself and my children move in on Monday. I mentioned my consumer rights as none of this was my fault but this was downplayed/ignored. I have not received an apology and my request for a refund has been ignored. Very poor customer service.

Disappointed as other people had told me how good Tapi were. I ordered and paid for vinyl flooring for the kitchen and was led to believe it would be ready for collection in about 5 days. After 11 days and numerous evasive phone calls Tapi eventually told me the order would take a further 10 days to arrive. I cancelled the order and received a refund. I was left with the impression Tapi's supply chain was unreliable and it's staff were powerless to do anything about it.

Thank you to Alan at Orpington Tapi! He matched our carpet exactly to what we had fitted already and made the whole buying experience so smooth. His advice was amazing and having had our carpet fitted it looks stunning. From order to fitting in under a week for the carpet we wanted! 10/10 honestly don’t waste your time going else where! We had a number of issues with the Orpington branch mainly staff communication, to cut a long story short. We were promised a carpet within 7 - 10 days and it took a month. The staff don't know what they are doing.One positive note was their fitters (contracted out) they went out their way to help and fitted our carpets beautifully. The carpets themselves and the binding seem to be of a very good standard also. These 2 stars are purely down to these reasons but would go somewhere else next time.
