Not sure why they seem to have the contactless parts or why they don’t accept Apple or android pay. You just see everyone fumbling for cards constantly.Also any metal cards they seem to randomly not read so make sure you bring a backup because it might constantly tell you “read failed”

A very enjoyable experience. My first experience of a tollbooth and the excitement in the car was palpable as we approached the booths. We selected a middle one to soak up the atmosphere. Stars deducted for having to pay to use a road when I pay road tax.

Not sure road tolls are the future. They cause congestion and seem to duplicate taxes like road tax. M6 toll is card payments only or using a pre-registered tag. No staff on hand to help. Seems very expensive for a car too.

Hate it! U can't pay without your card. Had disaster time struggle to pay without card. I tried to do it with phone it's not acceptable I had to drive left side where's lorry goes to and get the ticket. Only good thing about it u get up to a week to pay for it. Ha

Do you like paying money to use something you have already paid for through taxation? If so, you'll love toll ways on the motorway. You'll get to your destination 2 minutes faster some days, slower on other days! In fairness, the toll way is generally faster than the non-toll M6, but it will cost you £6.50 per trip in a car.

The stupidity of no advance warning has finally led to us having to reverse out of a lane!Why do drivers only get told AFTER they are on the M6 toll road that it's payment by card?Someone recently was expecting to pay by cash - and just now, a guy seemed only to have his phone-payment method. Signs advising that won't do are USELESS when only there as you drive up...I have had a lifetime of sighing at poor thinking, but Midland Expressway are surely capable of better.

Not a lot to say really, it's a toll booth!I like to use the card payment booths as they are often the fastest queues.Quick and simple to use, press button for receipt and go. Exact same on the Northbound toll booths.
