Historic & Scenic Tours Inverness

My family and I had the most amazing day on this tour. Our ride was comfortable with great attention to our interests when it came to sharing the history of the area. We have two small children and our guide Mike was so thoughtful with what they would find fun and still give my husband and I a full tour experience. Wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a personalized experience of the beauty surrounding Inverness

This was an incredible tour!I missed boarding my cruise ship in South Hampton, England and had to get myself to Inverness, Scotland to be able to meet up with the ship. I got there ahead of time and decided to book a last minute trip for myself. Not only was 'Historic & Scenic Tours Inverness available to accommodate me, but they were more than happy to modify my tour so I wouldn't have to revisit any sites I'd already had paid for via the excursion I was going to go on the following day.Thank you for a wonderful tour, Chris

Our cruise line sold out its Loch Ness excursions and suggested we might take a private tour. We found these folks, and we are so glad we did. While the cruise tours and guides were good, traveling in a smaller group in a vehicle that can go places a bus can't go opened up some additional stops for us. Our guide, Johnny, was knowledgeable about the history, sites, and shortcuts, and offered us the flexibility you just can't get with a larger group. He was waiting for us when we arrived, and most importantly, he got us back to the shuttle bus we had to ride to get back on our cruise ship. I only wish we could have had three or four days with Johnny to see and experience the Inverness area that just wouldn't be possible on a bus tour. Thanks!!!

We spent a lovely 9-10 hours with our tour guide Mike exploring the highlands around Inverness. Mike was so wonderful and extremely patient with our two young kids (ages 2 and 7 on the tour.) He was very knowledgeable and kind, making sure that we got to see everything we wanted to see and making sure we were comfortable and happy the entire day. I will be passing along contact information to friends who will be traveling next year and I would certainly book again. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience Mike.

Mike spent so much time and care showing us the best of the Highlands. Everywhere we went he was known by name and he took us to local spots we would have never found. Super clean and comfortable van—with the privacy we wanted. Could not have asked for a better day.

A very special and memorable day spent with Johnnie our tour guide. He has intricate knowledge of Inverness and the surrounding countryside as well as the historical significance.. He answered all of our questions and put a special touch on each place we visited. Would definitely book with this company again!

We had a fantastic tour with Historic & Scenic Tours Inverness and our guide Lawrence. The tour was packed with breathtaking scenery and historic locations, and the car was comfortable and clean. If you can, I would highly recommend requesting Lawrence. His storytelling about the history of Scotland and Loch Ness was captivating. We look forward to visiting again soon.

4 of us took a tour from our cruise port of Invergordon and traveled to sites North of the port. It was a fabulous day! We had good weather which added to the experience. We got to see all the sights in the itinerary plus we were able to customize a little bit to meet our requests. Because we were in a smaller vehicle, we were able to get to sites that the bigger buses could not. Mike (the owner) was very quick to respond to my emails and requests. If ever in the area again, we would definitely book with this company again.

Our day long tour of Inverness, Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands was perfect, thanks to our fantastic driver and tour guide Mike. He’s so knowledgeable of the history of the area, and also so kind and polite, I’ll highly recommend him for a tour. As we wanted to spend time seeing the sights and not spending time for lunch in a restaurant, his tail gate snacks were perfect as well. Thanks again, Mike!
