A lovely walk around the lake. Some people do ignore the dogs on lead signs sadly. But beautiful scenic walk

Fantastic and varied park. Beautiful walk around the water on a flat path - although stretching suitability for a pram and not suitable for a wheelchair.Bird hide is worth visiting as you can see swans nesting right in front of you!Nice cafe with good staff and food.

Very nice varied walk. We did the lake circular, with the little forest add on which made it just over 4.5 miles. The hide is nice and there are lots of well placed benches to look over the lake and river Yare which runs alongside. We took our dog and had an ice cream at the Cafe. Really lovely place to be right on the edge of a city. Lots of parking, payable by the 'Pay by Phone' App, card or cash. £5 for 4hrs.

Whitlingham Country Park
Great country park with large lake and wetland areas.Path around the lake is hard top with shingle making it just about accessible to kids scooters.Biking is encouraged, and as far as we could make out there is at least part of the route with a dedicated bike lane.Birds we saw were coots, mute swans, gulls, mallards, cormorants, Egyptian geese and greylag geese. There were also tons and tons of ladybirds flying around. The walk around the lake is about two miles, and with a few five minute breaks on various benches, and a few stops due to scooter lag"

I spent a few good hours with my four legged friend on Sunday walking around the lake and country park at Whitlingham lake - access is Great with parking and cafe and clean toilets located in car park litter bins and doggy bin all around the lake path - it can get busy at times .Lots of wildlife to see butterflies, geese, ducks and swans, and birds of prey like Red kites and Kestrels .Some areas Do get muddy so a change of foot ware is advised.Lots of benches to sit and enjoy. In the country park quite a steep bank with steps and handrail lots of different trees and the bird song is glorious.

Whitlingham never fails to deliver. The walk around the lake is wonderful and the bird hide gives you great views. We also had a lovely coffee and a vegetarian sausage roll in the cafe before we set out for the walk. The paths around the lake are mostly gravel so are suitable for pushchairs. It’s been wet lately so some parts were a little wet but nothing a normal pair of walking boots can’t handle.

Whittingham Country Park is so close to the city yet so massive and full of greenery. It has two lakes, one small and one massive, giving the area a variety of lovely walks which can be done! Great place to bring dogs and there are also cafes and parking on the edge of the area.

First visit since lock down and new car parking arrangements. Liked the new gravel surfaces that have been laid around the broad. Also the new bird hide with great views across the water. Lots of water fowl to see. Swans, Geese and duck's. Plenty of car parking and toilet facilities. Barn cafe a good place for coffee and home made cake.
