The walk to the point is good, but it's a shame the developer hasn't put up an info board to take away the guesswork.

Interesting old fort in a derelict condition after years of disuse. There have been several schemes proposed to develop the fort into luxury housing but so far all have fallen through.There is security fencing around the site but sometimes this is broken allowing access. Well worth a look around if you happen to find a way in.

Been left in a terrible state by successive 'developers'. Now surrounded by ugly metal barriers covered in graffiti and annoyingly diverting the path around harbour entrance side of the fort through the loose shingle.

Finally being turned into a housing project. You can no longer walk the entire loop around it as there’s no way over the golf course.
