As an artist, and an out of towner, I was delighted to stumble upon this gem of a find on the way to the museum. A lovely and quaint and quite well stocked art store was the ultimate dream for fine artist I managed to acquire some new brushes and paints. Fabulous and terrific supplies for my creative arsenal!

We stumbled across this amazing art shop on our way to the British Museum- what a lucky find! My mom is a mixed media artist who was in absolute heaven browsing the shelves full of wonderful art supplies. The ambiance in the store is amazing even if you aren't an artist, and the large jars of pigment up on the shelves were beautiful to behold. A highly inspirational shop with a super helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit if you're in the area!

What an amazing shop, there is high quality material available. It has a wonderful historic history to it...Its easy to get lost looking through art material.Staff are very helpful, even if your not clear on what you need, do explain to the staff, as they have the experience and expertise to guide you in the right direction.I have come to purchase specific brushes for a friend in Tokyo as they are not available, if they are, they are over priced, so l am happy to hop on a train to get her brushes for her.

Well-established fine art shop in the Bloomsbury area. They have all the pens and colour that I was looking for. The shop sells a range of ink, water colour, oil, and acrylic. Worth a visit.

I love this shop. We buy a lot of pigment and gum Arabic from them at really good prices. Quality is excellent. Staff are friendly. A few niggles, however: pigment is not easy to open when packed in larger amounts and It often spills out; they don't always include pigment numbers; their toxicity ratings are inaccurate / idiosyncratic; their website doesn't optimize for phones. I would heartily recommend them, however.

Love this shop for pigments to make my own oil paint. Very knowledgeable staff too. Good for oil brushes and orders by post. Only I wish they had more branches out of London!

One of my favourite shops of any category, period. Nothing beats the charm of its lil Harry Potter-esque settings that oozes history. Staff are like wizards when it comes to your art needs & have the same eclectic charm of their surroundings. Even the scrappy book they look up prices has a personality of its own! I've noticed tourists love the place. As it has a long history, the shop also doubles up as an unexpected museum.
